Why not, read my post above yours.
Provided he maintained a balance of 800K for 3 months after his last extension, then maintained a balance of 400K since, and can prove a balance of 800K for 2 months prior to the date of application he is in compliance.
His new extension will be dated from the expiry date of his previous extension, so he gains nothing by applying late, provided he pays the overstay fine.
No. To be "in compliance", you need to apply on or before your expiration date. If you abuse the fact that they are usually willing to still grant the extension with a short overstay in order to gain wiggle room for money seasoning, you really are at their mercy, which is what I pointed out.
The order states what the order states to cater for the case that an applicant applies EARLY. There's no explicit provision for the overstay scenario.

Money in the bank issues (i.e. not exactly 2 months for the 800K on Mar 1st).
In that case, I wouldn't bank on getting the extension with even a single day of overstay. They might do it if they're feeling nice, but that's a big IF!

What they don't seem to get is that Bitcoin's rise and high level of volatility have made it pretty much unsuitable as a mode of payment, at least for small day to day purchases. In that sense, it has become a victim of its own success.
Some years ago, it used to be fun to walk around with a bitcoin wallet on one's phone loaded with the equivalent of a few thousand baht and to pay for a few beers on occasion, at a bar that happened to accept bitcoin payments - be it in Bangkok or in HCMC.
I could probably buy a Ferrari now with all the tiny little bitcoin amounts I spent on beer back then, but even leaving this aside, the mere cost of a transaction nowadays is just too high.

Truth to be told, the only reason they haven't been allowed to go under is that they need to ferry around all the Thai VIPs. No price seems to be too high to continue to have that service available, at the taxpayers' expense obviously.

I solve the "problem" by withdrawing amounts that provide me with a maximum of small notes from ATMs, whatever amount I want in 1000s plus 900. So I always carry around a good mix of banknotes.
To preempt any attempts to shortchange me as mentioned by other posters, I then use small notes for small purchases and 1000 baht notes only for >500 baht ones. Never a problem.
That being said, at my local 7/11s specifically, they always say out loud the amount of cash you handed over, and the amount of change they're about to give.

I think it's safe to say that nobody will believe them that there is a hunt ongoing in any shape or form.

At this point I almost don't care which companies produce the AstraZeneca vaccine, as it's such an inferior product.

I don't think "being duped" would fly as an excuse with a Thai court in similar cases.

Boggles the mind. When Carrefour was rebranded to Big C, at least they made sure that the new name is pronounceable in Thai.

Because, at least for me, it would change my course of action. Knowing that I would be in risk of getting a one year ban if just leaving on Tuesday, I would go to Immigration on Monday and see if I could pay the overstay and get seven days to leave.
That doesn't work. You can only pay your overstay at a local immigration office if you apply for an extension there. If you don't, they simply have no way of knowing when your overstay will end, thus they cannot settle the case.

Isn't that the kind of medical certificate where you can just walk into any clinic while still breathing, and walk out a few minutes later (and a few baht lighter) with the certificate, but without any actual medical examination happening? Pointless.

This is good advice, as this situation is very delicate. From your experience as an agent, can such a >90 days overstay be "fixed" without a ban or is that completely hopeless?

The outlook is horrible, we might be running out of our beloved Thais before long...

Plus/minus mutations, it could be October, just not sure about the year.

10 million tourists this year
10 million shots per month
They do love to pull that particular number out of... thin air?

If they will eat our lunch and we know this, why don't we poison it before they have their first bite? Bon appetit and a very happy Chinese New Year!

Nice to see a US president with integrity again for a change. The disgraced ex president Trump might well have said nice things about the general's leadership.

There should be more than enough proof in this particular case, as he blatantly demanded that more votes for him are "found".
Hopefully he'll be charged and convicted, it would be a start!

I doubt that the younger generations of men who've had to grow up with toxic feminism will produce a character like him.
RIP Larry, your magazine proved very educational to me when I technically wasn't even allow to buy one yet. Great memories!

So they have no customers and want to solve the problem by staying open longer? Doesn't sound like a winner to me.

I find it hard to believe that anyone with half a brain keeps a sizeable stash of bitcoin with their exchange, in the US or elsewhere for that matter.
