Was renting out my house in Oz before i got a state pension, the ' Maintenance' costs were draining my income considerably, when you have to use licenced tradesmen via the agent, (it depends on the tenant) changing a tap washer $ 200, they tried replacing a bulb and managed to rip the fitting out of the ceiling, blocked the toilet, blocked gutters, apparently all my fault the list goes on. Warning when making a tenancy agreement specify what you will pay for. Edit; when i sold it a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders.

That old one must buy insurance, they tried that on a mate of mine 2 yrs ago (not Russian ) when he wanted to open an account with them, after contacting BBK on line, he found out no its not necessary, get the tellers name and their position and report them I would call it a scam but TIT so i won't.

So about to open a SCB bank account up to 1m, any recommended ones ? I see on their site 'personal EZ savings account' is paying 1.5 % but what confuses me it also says '' Non resident 0.00%'' I am married with married extension, so am I a non resident or not for banking purposes ? Thanks.

I don't understand this, it sounds like she hasn't registered in the 'Tesssaban' where you live, as its normally no problem for Thais to change their name, it's normally a simple quick process, as stated they keep the same ID number costs about 20 baht. There is no need to mention about getting married again. I was out doing some shopping with a mate of mine, he gets a phone call from his wife, turns to me and says " I have a new wife'' ''What !'' ''she has just changed her name'' true story.

Haven't read all comments coz the solution is simple as above, but are you under 50 ?

She can change her name in 15 min, their ID number stays the same, once you are married she could change her name back again.
