Wrong. We are talking about the ones working at restaurants or restaurant & bar. I agree there are some trying to do their best and earn money (250 baht per day) and send it back home too. But soon most of them from these somes, relize that there is no way it will be better. So the other way which they learn and adapt is sucking other's blood. I totally respect your idea and opinion. But my 17 years in thailand and being in most part of the thailand showed me that. Its all about time they relize they can do better just a little bit being sweet to someone. Well there are many posts and i read some of them because all seems to be same. I also know many waitresses in same position from laos, vietnam or myanmar and cambodia. Im close to some of them in a friendly way. And being very careful. Because they know how to suck your blood very well. And they are very professional in this im sorry to say but most likely your laos friend is the same too. Anyway, when i asked them about workpermit or how they can work in a restaurant while we farangs cannot. They explained to me there are 2 or 3 ways. 1 is they dont have workpermit, they do 90 days visa run just like many other farnags doing. Because of ASEAN i do believe its easy for them. 2 is they have some kind of yellowish paper which allow them to work for a month or likewise. 3 they find a thai husband marry but continue single life and using the visa. Now the agency shes using is most likely the same agency other farangs using. And its probably very cheap to do. One cambodian girl told me its around 3000 baht. In your situation if she is using an agency that means most likely the employer has them illegaly. I know many restaurants here providing them legit workpermits. I would suggest her to do 90 day visa run if her employer doesnt want to do it. Yes, they can speak very good thai because other thai stuff teache them. A friendly reminder: these girls are there to do work. I know they look very innocent and naive but trust me they are not. Soon or later she will have a sponsor or some number of boyfriends. Otherwise there is no chance she can survive. So my advice is dont be that sponsor or kiks. Your story shows this is exactly where its going to. I know you want to help her but trust me let her do her own business. Another thing is if they are so hopless or helpless why almost all of them have the latest phones and so on. They make something between 250 to 350. When thai waitresses are making aroubd 450 to 600 per day. So how come they can survive. Not related to the topic but i was at one of the places where girls sits with you and talk (yes only talk) if you want and 1 hour is 500-1000 baht. When i asked her how much shes making per month she told me if shes lazy around 50K if not 70k easy. This amount is double time then one of my friends who is a teacher and working hard like a dog.

OP bro is living in thailand but in another dimension.. no info about TM30.. can do his 90 days where ever he wants.. IO doing everything for him... IO can speak english... no masks (i think mask is a must and i agree)... the only surprising thing in that dimension of thailand is they took his photo...

you wont have any problem. just carry the document saying your applied for the new passport also (if you have one) if they can see the stamp and the first page clearly... no worries. although i just cannot understand how a person can wash his passport, seriously.

well i think i understand what you are saying. but i just cannot understand how an embassy willingly help to someone not legally staying here. This is not about the other country immigration law. its like.. you are helping a criminal. in my opinion to get a service from embassy, you need to show or prove that you are here legally and have the rights to do things. joining what you are saying.. if i were the embassy stuff.. i would not accept the passport and tell him to go to the proper place to fix the issue then i can help. if he feels he cannot fix it, as my duty i would offer him what he can do in this situation. but when im aware hes not legally in thailand and i will do some official things with him.. nope, i would do anything. actually you know what i would call the immigration and send a car to the embassy because i just caught someone over staying. i think its part of my duty. i have seen on youtube that the UK embassy calling cops on people who are giving fake documents. so whats the difference here?!

well you need to answer this question.. why your visa expired.....?! (thats the topic) then answer this.. you go to your embassy and ask for a new passport, it doesnt matter its expire or other reason. and now imagine they give you a new passport without checking... you have a valid visa or not.. they need to check you are here legally or not. thats so normal.. i dont know you but normal people gonna think.. ops something is wrong here. now another story you might mentioning. maybe you want to say your passport and visa expiring in the same time? well its totally your fault. you need to follow up this. arrange the timeline. i seriously dont want to believe that ANY embassy can issue a new passport without checking you are here legally or not?! thats that simple. and i also cannot understand how you are ok with this unless you are an illegal person LOL there is NO way you can stuck in a country.. lol

and i cannot believe why you so surprised when an IO doing his job. having a visa doesnt means you will granted to the country. which is very normal if there is a reason IO believes you are not welcome here for a reason. IO has the full power to reject you. here it comes... you answered all of your questions. there must be something IO noticed on your previous visits or something like that. so, i think you need to calm down and let it go. I dont think IO was wrong. seems you were not too. But he just wanted some info or maybe check few things which is so normal. I have friends cancelled their non-b and left the country to get a new tourist visa so they can find a work or do their paper work for another non-b.. thai embassy didnt give them TR visa and told them 'you stay long time already, go back to your country and get a visa from there' and believe me they deserved more than you to come back to thailand i think that explains why you need to calm down

you have 2 options: 1) this is the best option and really waht you need to do: go to the immigration in your area and tell them you just noticed this. and ask them to fix it. they will. 2) stay for 7 months and exit from the same place you entered. i strongly suggest you go to the immigration office and fix it or do what they suggest. There is a very very little chance they wil ltell you to go to the IO where you entered and get them fix it. if this comes up ask immigration to write a note or something explaining the situation.

they are checking the visa you are on and the dates. so a normal working IO will see the problem in 2 minutes. its really easy to see it. but if a lazy one and just checking the stamps, he may let it go.

i really dont know how many years ago, i would say 10 yrs ago or something like that. i went to bangkok for some reason. went out for some drinks. i saw this farang on the street with a sign on his hand saying 'please give me a job, im doing logistics and marketing' he was sitting on the street.. nothing different then beggars. i mean it. some people put money in to the can next to him. his clothes were all damaged. cave man facial hair.. of course i cannot be sure of that but i dont think he has a visa or a passport. probably sold the passport for food. another thing is police was probably 100m away from him. there is no way they are not aware of him or not saw him. that night i saw how a ;person can be desperate. felt sorry for the guy i felt like well its what you did to yourself. but on the other hand i was like who knows what he had... i hope that man found a peaceful solution and an end. just wanted to share the story

they will not renew it if you dont have a valid visa

im also divorced. I used an agency to stay on my non-o marriage extension. My ex-wife and i didnt go to the immigration and cancelled my non-o. later i left the country after covid. I came back with a non-b visa because im working. went to the changwattana IO for my new non-b extension. Everything was ok TILL officer noticed my old non-o without cancelling it getting a new non-b. Immediately she asked me my wife's Id and our marriage certificate. I was s hitting myself. i thought game over. then i told her i dont have with them. she asked me if i have copy of them. luckily i had in my phone. went to copy shop. she took all the copies then i asked her if i need them again for my next extension she said no she wanted them to CONNECT and LINK my new visa. she also told me actually SHE should be with me here but she said its ok. i trully believe she let me go because i was talking to her in thai and very nicely because she said i look like a good man. simply she just let me go... i was lucky no question. so what ever you do from now on they will ask about your ex non-o marriage visa. because you didnt cancelled it visa immigration. i hope you will be lucky as i was. If you will marry again that will be a 100% problem for you. they will ask for your divorce papers.. and they will see the date on it and your date on non-o visa... that will be a problem. i suggest you to leave the country and come back with a TR visa. OR go to immigration and report. PS: your lawyer is right but he is dead wrong. yes, you can stay but like i said it will create more problems in the future and you might not be lucky as i was. dont listen to him about this

did savanakhet thai embassy non-o visa for 3-4 times. never gave my laos visa. never asked. rest of the list is correct
