Correct, the paper bill says Bht 694. But how did he know that the app said 50M if he didn't have a phone? And if he did try to pay it, his online bank, which he doesn't use, would have refused it. A few porkies going on somewhere.

I always check that the paper bill and the app show the same. Luckily for me, I can read my meter every day as I walk past with the dog, and keep a record on my ECAS app.

Anyone who could not see that this was a fake bill is as dumb as the scammers.

Does the exchange rate affect the receiving bank? It is Wise who do the conversion.

Are you suggesting that EVERY Wise transfer has some human intervention? I think not, as some are instant. If you click 'for long time stay in Thailand'then, in my experience, one extra day. This is Wise UK to Bkk Bank, THB to THB as I convert in advance when the rate is good.

I own a vehicle here which I manage to maintain, and drive through traffic OK. I am sure there are other members here who do the same. No wonderful experiences, or crashes, or break downs, because I always have it serviced at Main Dealer on time, every time. A Bht 500k electric will be much cheaper to run than a 5 litre Lamborghini. Now where's the sarcasm button gone ! 555
