I have just booked flights to UK and back via Dubai. I am now looking for Travel Insurance, looking at Bolttech, MSIG, True and Bangkok Bank's offerings. But it is so complicated with greatly differing coverages, plans and Premiums. Would a policy cover me for any accident or illness occurring BEFORE i fly on 28th March? Any experts out there please. One company told me that coverage would only start ONE HOUR before my flight time. I would have already checked in and gone through Immigration by then, crazy!

And if it goes wrong? Ship it back to USA? Or is it an International Warranty, and for how long?

OK, unless you need it to show as a Foreign Transfer for Immigration. Then it takes until 14.01 the following day.

I only went into my Bkk branch ONCE last year to get the statement and letters for Immigration. Otherwise Nationwide to WISE GBP, (free) then convert to WISE THB account when the rate seems OK = instant & cheap , WISE to my Monthly Bkk Bank in first week of every month, all done online and almost always within 24 hours depending on time the transfer is instigated to arrive as a Foreign Transaction for Mr IO. Transfer from Monthly to Bkk Current = instant. Mr IO only needs to see the 12 Monthly transfers all in one book, nothing else. Update bank books in a machine outside the branch when I do a withdrawl. Works like a dream.

What rubbish. Do you need someone to wipe you bum after 65 as well? At least you can see your face in a mirror. I am 77 and wet shave every day, makes me look and feel so good. Off topic advice. I use The Best a Man Can Get Fusion blade, which I keep in a small glass of vegetable oil. Can get well over a month's shaving from one unit. It is oxidisation (rust) on the edge of the blade and not the actual cutting of the whiskers which blunt it. There is an ad on UK TV for Harry's Blades, which says you will get just as close a shave the eighth time as the first. Hahah Try it !
