As long as you can still identify your mattress from a toilet seat then everything is fine. Its a super powerful anti inflammatory and saved me days of being bedridden when I used to get chronic gout. You got to expect some minor side effects for that level of trade off

How sad. You believe the majority of expats here are pensioners trying to live like Thais living in cheap rooms and existing on street food. I have to admit, I do know some who are just existing in Thailand, but most of the people I know have decent incomes and live better than the average Thai. Maybe you should try to meet a better class of friends.
You need to get out more. And in know way did I say all farang but the majority who are pensioners and surprise surprise I have not yet befriended them all LMAO!

Much more serious disease can present themselves in the form of back pain. A correct diagnoses is as important as pain relief

The Thai people are resourceful, patient and wanting change. Many times I get under charged in Thailand, as the work I provide is fun and I do not push that hard. The military, on the other hand, likes shopping overseas rather than spur industry in Thailand. Why is that?
Yes sure of course they want change. They have shown this through there pro-activity against the Junta over the last 5 years!!!

Most who like job security, participatory government, all night partying, a government that is not reviled by civilized countries.
Doubt it . The current govt is the most stable in decades.

So what happens if Prayut is sent packing. Does that now mean the Election was never rigged in the first place?

Tramadol wont touch it. Ive been on max dose for years for nerve pain but it does nothing for occasional mild back pain and rheumatoid arthritis
I dont get the logic of asking here. Your Doc will best know when he asks what level of 10 your pain is or you just tell him
0No Pain
1–3Mild Pain (nagging, annoying, interfering little with ADLs)
4–6Moderate Pain (interferes significantly with ADLs)
7–10Severe Pain (disabling; unable to perform ADLs)

"pro-Thaksin parties have won every election since 2001, but the past 15 years have seen crippling street protests that destabilised the government and hamstrung business."
Who wants to return to this ?

Doesn't that just scream to you go home? Where you have rights as a citizen. Everybody who researched before moving here would be fully aware it's near impossible to get a loan, a job or citizenship so why you crying about after you already made the shift?another warm hospitable policy extended to foreigners living here now compare that to your home country where immigrants as well are retirees can get jobs, loans and citizenship. -

OP is deluded. Lets face it majority are pensioners trying to scratch out a living and trying to live like a thai in cheap rooms and dining on street food.
Thailand gave you the above plus 50 baht happy hour beers and cheap happy endings
Be happy with that or go home and be stung by the real world. Up to you !

Another classic from the Thai book of excuses.
Hardly a reason to terrify 2 young workers with a meat cleaver though.
Westerners tend to go with ..I was sexually abused by my uncle excuses. One MUST have an excuse as its then categorized as mitigating circumstances. No excuse = Aggravated assault

Fuel is less than half the price here as it is in the UK and most of Europe. Almonds, other locally grown nuts are available. Vitamins you can get from fresh fruit and vegetables and probably healthier. Australian beef not a lot more expensive than the UK. That leaves wine and cheese, not exactly lots of things.
Yes and you can get vitamins from iherb for a small shipping fee of a few dollars. You are right in what you say and the wine and cheese novelty will wear off when the 20th bottle is drained and youve put on 10kg on the cheese binge
If anybody wants cheap cheese I order from this guy. 2kg Australian cheddar off cuts 750 baht, arrives in a foam cooler with dry ice and posts to anywhere in Thailand

You snapped yourself via a mirror, did you want that? Most condos have a gym some not so good but ours is huge with top quality equipment . Took them a while to realize cheap gym gear costs more in repairs and replacements .
most people would struggle with a home Gym, as mentioned ..motivation

I think the real exodus was about 4 years ago.....now is the last of the mainstayers clinging on for dear life...no new blood appearing anymore. Combination of XE, visa rules, the opening of places once seen as backward/third world and the general atmosphere of being unwelcome in Thailand has all taken its toll
They all ran to Cambodia ????

Prayut has done well learning on the job and kept the country stable and tackled corruption like nobody before him. People need to respect the decisions of the Thai people and stop the frigging rigging nonsense.
