They never seen unless called or out buying their meals. But when they a appear they totally incompetent. Good living here if you survive the drive, you don't ever have to worry about cops. In 10 years driving here I have seen less police than in South Australia in a week. Amazing Thailand.😀

Easy for you to say probably because you loaded. People save hard for a holiday, but average person can not afford a extra $8000 per person. Mean statement, maybe the pedophile should chip in to help. Just stop one day of missle launches would pay for the the stranded people to get home.

Good info. I agree with pre-existing. 9 years ago the bank offered me health insurance. Price looked ok, they sent me to Bangkok Hospital for checkup which insurance company was paying. Result rejected at price quoted. Because I had. Sent the price quoted was huge and large excess, the heart not covered. Told them the dark place to stick it.I have spent 20k not counting bi-yearly health check on hospital in 10 years. Money put aside just in case.

I had a OA retirement visa, switched to marriage extension to avoid health insurance requirement. Applied for insurance at 66 gave me medical. Because of a stent the price was crazy, 100000 excess for year before any cover. 10 years later I have spent 12000 baht on hospital visits. Money in bank will cover anything serious and pay for the final bbq. Never thought about health insurance in Australia, medicare was cheap.

If your wife not Thai, think twice about it. You live in the greatest country on earth, best free health care, great food , good education system and safe country. Just travel and bring family for holidays when the air is clean.

Marriage extension not hard , little more messing around than retirement. I had OA retirement for 5 years, had to change as was rejected for full health insurance due to having a stent. Immigration suggested I change extension to marriage no insurance required. Think been about 6 years now so find easy to do each year.
