Has anyone had one of these successfully removed in Bangkok or Pattaya? It is very minor surgery but it requires some delicate stitching all the same so that a scar worse than the original cyst doesn't develop.

If it's just learning a couple of words (in their context), I recommend this channel. Words explained with pictures and used in simple sentences. Plenty of repetition for reinforcement.

One question concerning a Last Will and Testament
JackGats replied to Keith5588's topic in General Topics
I also have assets both in Thailand and in an EU country. Will the EU country be content to leave my Thai assets alone, ie to be taxed with inheritance tax in Thailand, then distributed to my heirs in Thailand ? I suspect not. The EU country will want to lump all my assets (EU + Thai) and levy an inheritance tax on the whole. And this will probably lead to an international legal mess ending up in all my assets being frozen for years. I've seen it happen between two neighbouring EU countries, it should be much worse when an exotic country is involved. -
The problem in the non-US west is not paying heating bills over the winter. Families will survive. Families don't go bankrupt. The problem is economy collapse and deindustrialisation. Zero own energy ressources. Not allowed to get energy from Russia. Not allowed to get energy from Iran. When continental Europe goes down, which should be only a question of months now, the savings of many expats will go to.

No need to reimburse. I thought you were a private member answering a private question though. Now am I to understand you are a seller? Confusing. -

If the worse happens in the war, what happens in Thailand?

I don't think you'd be better off in Thailand. You'd die a slower death that's all. -

“No child should be a target of or witness to violence anywhere, anytime” As for adults, a good measure of violence will do them a lot of good I suppose. -
Pattaya authorities give update on road expansion project on Beach Road

I see traffic issues getting worse rather than improving in Pattaya. Walking Street used to be pedestrians-only after a certain hour, now if I'm not mistaken traffic is allowed all the time. -
Yeah, yeah, that's what they all say. A study was once published about the taste of wine to babies. All babies found the taste of wine unpleasant. Liking the taste of wine or beer or [name of favourite drug] is a taste acquired through the effects of the drug (in other word through addiction). If this were not true, how could people ever come to "like" smoking tobacco? The first time anyone smokes tobacco is sheer torture.

Speaking of cannabis, how do you non-smokers out there manage the smoke factor? Inhaling smoke is the main reason to be a non-smoker. I don't want to have to worry about lung cancer because of cannabis. I now read that vaping cannabis has its own high-risk (crazy story related to vitamin E acetate damaging the lungs). The edibles are often a scam, plus they takes ages to kick in. I sincerely hope TH will not backtrack on this liberalisation. It is welcome in this time of despondency due to pandemics and war.

I'd thought as much. Probably good idea to turn off the AC beforehand, so that the smoke doesn't get sucked up into my room? -

Are edibles sold anywhere? I'll be staying in hotels for the next couple of months. Smoking is not an option. -
My z-fold 3 is 8 months old and the screen is cracking down the middle where it folds. When I bought it at Central Festival in Pattaya, I remember their telling me I had a guarantee "if I broke my screen". I distinctly remember the weird "broke" part, but I didn't pay attention to it at the time as I take good care of my smartphones. Anyways, this has nothing to do with my damaging my own phone, it's a manufacturing defect. Has anyone had to deal with this in Thailand? It's a 1500-dollar phone. If Samsung sends me packing they've lost me forever as a customer. I hope they'll offer a swap for a (non-foldable!) model. No good having the screen refurbished for it to crack up again 6 months from now.

There is an interesting take from the manosphere on the cancellation of student loans in the US: since the majority of students who end up getting into debts in order to get mickey mouse degrees are women, debt cancellation amounts to another net transfer of wealth from men to women. Likewise, encouraging women to study for often useless degrees is a way of removing youngish women from the sexual market, because women with degrees tend to consider themselves too good for sex-trading of the traditional kind. Men getting the short en of the stick.

Do the right thing and stop at Zebras - campaign continues
JackGats replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
So stopping at zebras is only a good will gesture. It's the right thing to do if you're a good person. Would you be so kind as to stop your car at the red light? Be a good boy and do some stopping now once in a while, instead of always driving through and killing people. This kind of campagne is not going to increase my trust in pedestrian crossings in Thailand. Pedestrian crossings that do not get enforced 200% are more dangerous than zero pedestrian crossings.
