  1. Ross loves nothing more than dragging teams down to his level of mediocrity and he’s had a look at the blues yesterday, gunna be tough…
  2. Who the hell picks 7 out of that crazy mishmash ?
  3. I also struggle with many of your posts and attitude EOW but congratulations on actually trying an ev. Im impressed.
  4. Certain bars require certain types of girls… The girls in the Aussie Bar in Bangla don’t humbug for drinks or chatter to you when the footy is on. They are usually on the ball when you need a refill too, they get paid better than some other bars to NOT humbug.
  5. I had to upgrade my laptop and ended up on w11. Biggest issue for me is that Adobe wouldn’t allow me to edit old pdf documents without subscribing. I found another pdf. Quite a few things won’t work without signing into windows. As mentioned above, the machine only wants to backup to onedrive, but you can delve in and use win7 backup to an external hd. Its ok and overall not too different.
  6. Were those pics from the same trip owl ? when was it ?
  7. I wouldn’t use it in a bathroom. It may be impervious to water but water underneath would be problematic. A fully sealed shower enclosure and a big bathmat would be mandatory I’d think.
  8. @Sheryl yeah, we try but no one can demolition tiles and not make dust. Quick, easy and pretty dust free and minimal height change is the vinyl planks mentioned. In my experience most “coatings” solvent, acrylic or epoxy are prone to scratching, chipping, peeling and flaking, I’d never use them.
  9. If you lost your pics you can’t be much of a prepper… I think I remember that thread, interesting read. Threads are like music, some age well and some are started by Bob…
  10. Every chance you get you need to assure us avid readers that you’re not interested in ladyboys, of course you’re not… 😉
  11. Owl, you are encouraged to retain your toothypegs nowadays… Something to do with eating and losing bone density in your jaw. ps how much did the tooth fairy leave you anyway ? 😃
  12. Love your work Owl 👍🏼 That grass herb looks suspiciously like Lemon grass.
  13. Tom is Jacob’s bitch. Geelong are ours to Roger at will. Great win by the blues 👍🏼
  14. The Weihenstephaner is superb.
  15. Don’t listen to the haters, follow your dreams Bob…
  16. You’re never alone Owl.
  17. The fact that what, 3 weeks later there are still 20 people in hospital shows how serious the event was. Essentially unavoidable but tragic and Singapore Airlines have stepped up to the plate so far. Whilst no amount of money will compensate for someone with brain injury or paraplegia the airline have been honest and upfront with everyone (the Aussie guy from Adelaide may disagree)
  18. The horror was real… 🤣
  19. Xylophone and others, don’t forget the power of exercise here. I know none of us are spring chickens but try to maintain some physical exercise. Xylo, you’re obviously pretty slowed down in your movements at the moment but see what you can do, hydro aerobics ? There is no such thing as a constipated runner, if hydrated…
  20. I remember the “Brother” thread Owl, maybe my destiny is to open a home to take in abused, neglected farang. Sort of like what some do for Soi dogs, minus the clamps and scissors and blue needle… 😎 🤣🤣 I met a neighbour the other day, she spoke English and was quite emotional pouring her heart out to me… 😢 Shes a former club dancer in Bangkok, met a Pom and lived in the ol dart for 15 yrs, but he wouldn’t farang marry her. They broke up but not before he gave her HIV, she has also had a stroke, only 39 yo but with a family history of stroke. Shes caring for her mother who has also had a stroke, she hobbles around to the shop before returning with food. Isaan shows me constantly what I love and loath in this world, their kindness, and resilience, superstitions, PLASTIC !! Arrgghhhh…
  21. I must admit that whilst quickly checking a few shops for the electric Thai bbq cooker in Ban Dung, my eyes did stray in search of a hat shop, to no avail… 😎
  22. Those limes don’t get any road runoff as there’s a big ditch between the two points, as I said mums pretty diligent with the hose. Avocados and Citrus hate wet feet and avos are notoriously hard to grow anyway. Another point with fruit trees, buy grafted trees.
  23. Shelter and micro climates are very important but how do you think full grown limes become full grown ? I actually think my wife and I purchased and planted these limes in 2019, mum is pretty good on the watering though. Nong Khai region.
