  1. Good point. Seems to me she thinks she's entitled to the same plan as her brother, regardless of law and order.
  2. I have recently regained my SSO Article 39 benefits under the Voluntary Insurance system. 1. I've already given the SSO the hospital I wish to use and been told that's my choice has been accepted. I found the sso members screens and I've completed most of the personal details, and that system accepted my name and my SSO / pink ID card. But I cannot find anywhere in my personal SSO member's screens, or anywhere else in the SSO system a record of the hospital I selected. Can other SSO Voluntary Insurance members please share where to find a record of my name and selected hospital. 2. Do foreigners who move to the Voluntary Insurance system still get an SSO members plastic card? Also I found mention of an app available for my Samsung smartphone which gives a detailed SSO profile of me but when I tried to download the app I discovered the app has been discontinued. Any members aware of a newer app for the same purpose? Thanks for sharing, appreciated.
  3. Dear Transport Company, -I'm not really interested in 20% discount on fares, -I am very interested in an announcement that the Transport Company is providing equipment, vehicles and funds for continuous police patrols on all roads and new laws to hold law breakers for 72 hours and confiscate all their family vehicles and licenses for 60 days.
  4. Yep you could rent for the view of one of the giant mounds of empty wine flagons. But need good sun glasses to protect your eyes from the glare from the sun.
  5. That's not quite true, they were given a chance to respond but both close to flee.
  6. Easy, the rise of Pita and his party and their very big following especially younger voters, students, graduates and at the last election they won very big. So regurgitate the shins and their cronies and their nowadays alliances with the green machine.
  7. "... t those times that is what Thai voters wanted and generally those parties tend to win the popular vote.. ..." But let's not forget there was massive vote buying ... .
  8. I never said that, I'm not going to disclose where I was, but i'll guess the area would be described as middle class / tradie. And yes there would probably be price differenced compared to low income areas in supermarkets etc. But important to remember, for me, is the cost of rental, and the availability or rentals. I was lucky enough to get a comfortable well maintained 1 bed apartment in a War Veterans Lifecare village at a bit more than 50% discount compared to commercial rental rates. Plus the village had good / dedicated facilities for wheelchair users (me) and a professional onsite medical clinic plus inhouse professional catering at very reasonable prices. Bearing all these points in mind, including the point about middle class area /lower income area (which didn't have a War vets housing facility) as I've described above I got a good deal and a very pleasant 2 years and peace of mind that I could survive financially. No further discussion on this from me.
  9. Could be wrong but my understanding is that those dates are the reporting dates Centrelink recipients who are working part time and they have to report their income regularly and that generates adjustment to their OAP. As said just my understanding, could be wrong.
  10. I did the 2 yrs return to gain the OAP and portability. Returned to LOS 2+ years ago. Even in the period I was there the cost of living was beyond belief. I was lucky, through my Vietnam war service I was able to rent a 1 bed apartment in an RSL Lifecare village at a rental rate about half of commercial rates. If I had to pay commercial rates I would not have had enough incoming funds to pay the rent. I could not have survived. Electricity cost is another killer. One item worth sharing, 2 other folks in the War Vets village took me to the local Coles and Woolworths giant supermarkets and pointed out the quite large selection of their own brand products. Best example was Coles own brand laundry detergent $2.00 for standard big size flagon. Other flashy brands / flashy bottles $14.00 to $17.00 a bottle. The Coles branded detergent was in fact a mainstream flashy brand and it was good quality. Dozens of other own brand items the same. Worth a look.
  11. True, and the reality is it's been suggested / there's some evidence the mastermind id/was her big sister in CM.
  12. Not like that at all. The charges she was found guilty of were NOT instigated by the generals, they were laid and proven by Thailand's mainstream legal processes.
  13. The good lady has already mentioned that her English is not good, be nice.
  14. Same in Australia, instant movement by all drivers to very quickly coordinate making a space big enough for ambulance to get through.
  15. This has been discussed several times before. Our dear departed friend and guru UbonJoe stated this many times before. So it's fact.
  16. And they know in advance what flights are coming in. But planning seems to be a no no.
  17. Bottom line, she broke the law, plain and simple, she broke the law.
  18. Some in my outer Thai family do this. There reason: "i don't believe there's any sick people involved, just the ambulance driver playing a game, trying to get people to move their cars for no real reason. My Thai sons several attempts to get them to change their attitude a total flop.
  19. Then I reject your comment. I too have some experience in this area and I don't accept your comments.
  20. And I hope he, and his party, continue to fight until the current unethical powers lose steam / get eliminated because the public gain enough bravery to somehow reject them. The day will come. Not tomorrow but it will come, and there will be big changes in many aspects of the whole Thai situation. Good luck Khun Pita and your party.
  21. "I don't say that it isn't true but people with 'depression' are often highly manipulative and vindictive,..." Where did you get that gem from? Please share some prove or specific support for your statement.
  22. NO, time for the management to be barred for life from this industry!
  23. "The company in charge of the construction has also been directed to conduct an in-depth investigation..." Is that company qualified to conduct such investigation? E.g: Do they have staff highly qualified and experienced in safety regulations and laws.
