With these stories of illegal entrants - recently concerning Laos, Burmese and Chinese - we're not told what happens next: are they first quarantined for 14 days? immediately sent back? what's the penalty? etc.

Regarding the enforcement of the law, I have no clue. However, if they remain in Thailand awaiting sentences in a Thai court, they will be taken into quarantine according to the Covid-19 regulations.

Everything else you need to know, you will surely fins in Thailand Immigration Act, Chapter 8, Section 61-84. Happy reading. ????

Surprise surprise. None had a CoE,  negative covidtest,  100.000usd insurance....

No, and that´s why they got caught. Otherwise they would have entered legally and went into quarantine.

However, in this case it would have been a case of migrant workers, and I do not believe 100k usd insurance apply to them. Maybe something that the company they are going to work for must provide. I do not think that either, due to they have different laws regarding cost for care of migrant workers, like in almost every other country.

Emailed them on Thursday - the link that Joe has provided says people would receive a auto reply but nothing

Interesting that the link says The British Embassy will not be issuing a visa extension letter to British Nationals here on short-term visas who can travel to their country of residence.

I wrote in the email that I have not lived in the UK for nearly 15 years and would have no where to live if I had to go back - also stated that I had concerns about my health if I did have to return

Here at the mo on a ED Visa (now expired)

Be interesting to see if they issue me a letter

15 years? Have you been staying in Thailand all that time? In that case on what visa?

ask for proof that she is not married 555

Yes, very easy. Marriage in front of the monks is only a ritual and no marriage at all, even if people wish to believe that.

If she do not have a registered marriage, then it´s to be seen as she is not married.

After that it is all up to how much trust you are willing to put in a person.

Makes remarks like the one you just did is only a waste of time and also makes you look bad. If as you are trying to say that a ritual should be seen as a marriage, that would mean the a divorce would not be possible.

  5. @bradiston What business of yours is that? I sincerely hope they will not give you any information, because that is private.

If it now happens to be out of the reason that you have met a woman, then you ask her. After that it´s your own judgement to either believe her or ask her to give you proof that she is not married.

  6. I guess you will do perfect in reading the terms and conditions for your card. You will find them on Bangkok Bang website.

I am not posting this to make an arrogant comment. It´s just that everyone should take the time to read the terms and conditions for everything they use or agree to. At the same time you will know everything about your card.
