Yes they do have a banking app ,both off them do ,but ,if you use it you have to have a code sent to your mobile ,i live in Thailand ,but use a UK address,so cant use the app but use pinsentry machine for my cards.

That could be a problem if you don't have a mobile phone number registered.  At least one of my banks recognises if I log on with a new device and does an extra security check in the form of a one time passcode sent to my mobile phone.  You may want to check how yours does it and how to work round it if their method doesn't suit.

If you accompanied a Thai person to that bank and he/she was directed to enter by the 2nd floor and you were told to go to the 1st floor, would that not bother you a little?

If the answer was no, I wouldn't believe you.

The Thai I was with would probably accompany me to the 1st floor where both of us would enter together.  It's such small stuff.

That's why I suggested they could resolve the problem simply by enforcing current size and weight rules. No need to cut down to 5kgs.

Disagree, as current rules permit the rollaboards that cause the problem.  Cutting down to smaller bags gets rid of these.  Lighter ones makes them all more manageable so less congestion, but it's the size that's the biggest issue.

I wouldn't stay in any of the AirBnB hotels like Unixx or the Base but Pratamnak the "Berverly Hills of Pattaya" is a great location.

It comes below Jomtien and Naklua when I'm thinking of staying in Pattaya, and they don't get very high up the list to start with.

Lockdown means no travelling to Pattaya from outside provinces.  How are you getting here (you mentioned looking "online" so assume you are not here yet)

PATTAYA ANNOUNCES CORONAVIRUS LOCKDOWN, KEEPS OUT ALL VISITORS

These restrictions are not being enforced most of the time, and not at all between 4:00am and 6:00am.

I just love living in my own house, with large garden and nice pool.  This last few lock down weeks it has been a real advantage . . . . .

I think the OP is thinking of staying more than a few weeks under unusual circumstances.  200+ sqm of unrequired space would be a nightmare for many.

I live and work in Pattaya, but i went to saw an old friend of mine when my company close for the covid19 situation: as i no have car, they close all transportation bus and i cannot move from here

I still see minibuses going from Pattaya to Bangkok and back every day, despite the alleged restrictions.  Have you tried to get even as far as Bangkok or are you just assuming it's impossible?

Time is money. Time is precious. I have a busy life . . . .

You need to relax and chill out a bit, then you'll be able to enjoy a condo or house more whichever you choose.

It would probably help get more appropriate views if your OP had given a bit more information.  Young or old?  Male or female?  Married or single?  Parent or child free?  Working, retired or relaxing?  Religous or Satan worshipper? etc etc.

For me, smaller is better as one gets older.  Communal facilities are better as responsibility lies elsewhere.  No spare room means no friends/family staying overnight (that's a positive in case you weren't sure).  Being able to move home a day or two after deciding to is amazing.  Like all the other posts on your thread, I've just posted what suits me, which doesn't mean it suits you which is where some background might help.

Not the carry as much as you can lift madness at RyanAir(?).

It's easyJet, but actually works OK as physical size is still restricted.

If I fly from where I live to Bangkok, I can get there in 6 hours by car, , no checks no waiting around for up to three hours and certainly have some food along the way , Currently fuel prices are almost so cheap that 4 people driving to Bangkok will be considerably cheaper, also not having to deal with semi-officious staff is also a plus Longer distances also cheaper for four people . Individually maybe the same, but unless Airlines take a pragmatic view they will all go to the wall including Thai Air which is almost there already.

More travel in parties of less than 4 so what works for you is not universal.  Even then the convenience is often worth more than the baht/euro/pound/dollar cost.

The big change affecting passengers seems to be the reduction in weight of carryon to 5kg. Not sure I understand that. Enforcing the 7kg and size rules strictly would be sufficient, I think.

I think it's more to encourage a laptop bag/handbag or equivalent rather than allowing people these rollaboards which slow everything down and cause congestion (less distancing).  If they've upscaled hold baggage to compensate as someone has suggested then it's a good move for all.

    I paid at 7-11.

    Almost 5,000 Baht.

That is money I don't have right now to spend on another damn flight.

If you don't have £125 GBP should you really be this far from where you want to be given the ongoing situation?

Entering Pattaya is not possible for a person who are not familiar with Banglamung district and the checkpoints.

Forcentral Pataya, they're only checking ID cards or passports most of the time, not residence status or whatever else is on the official paperwork.  There is still basically unenhindered access to those from outside the "restricted" area.  I've been at one of the four from North Road to Thepprasit most days since it started.
