  1. I don't stream very much and ordinary (UK) TV is coming through OK. Just downloaded some updates on my phone over the SIM router and speed was showing as over 8.5 in spells.
  2. It was delivered to me but required verification photo of her ID card and selfie using the app on a phone with the SIM installed. She wasn't here to do that. I got a 12 month DTAC package.
  3. Speed test on my (AIS) smartphone gives around the same speeds. The GoMo was bought using a ladyfriend's ID and she went off to visit her mum in Bangkok and hasn't come back. As I was time constrained (needed something in place for an imminent change of condo) I had to bite the bullet and go for a Plan B. The router interface opening page shows various statistics including recent speed achieved and it does get up to over 6 Mbps. TV is streaming fine and my browsing seems no different from my previous setup so all in all I've got pretty much what I wanted even if not by the most optimal method. Thanks all for the help.
  4. OK, I've just set up me new SIM router with a DTAC annual SIM described as 15Mbps. The GoMo one didn't pan out. It's successfully connected to my phone, laptop and TV stick. All seems good and running normally. However, when I run testmy.net it gives results around 4Mbps download. This is from my laptop and is not much different using a LAN cable or using wifi. Phone is similar speed on wifi. DTAC signal is strong according to the router status screen. I understand the location of the router can be important so will try it in a couple of different places, but apart from that should I be getting a higher speed and how do I go about it?
  5. It's all done online now. Go here to start it off: https://thaievisa.go.th/
  6. Instructions are on their website: https://www.truconnect.com/transfer https://www.true.th/support/site/mobile_devices/58/content/22/2
  7. There's a map link next to the shop name which seems to point to Central Pattaya shopping mall.
  8. If you mean the Pattaya 407 bus company then it's still there at the back if the fuel station just north of Klang. Chan Travel, which also might have something for the OP, are also situated at the top of Klang on the road that cuts off the corner between Klang and Sukhumvit heading north.
  9. OP seems to want them every 80cm but hasn't got them.
  10. Surely you mean sockets, not plugs?
  11. They're just using a lower spread between buying and selling prices hoping to make up with volume what they lose out on on individual trades. Same as some currency exchanges offer a better deal than others. As long as you do you make sure you're buying what you think there's no reason not to touch them.
  12. Seems he was offered another UK bank account for when his Coutts Bank one is closed, so doubtful he'll have to move overseas. https://aseannow.com/topic/1299745-nigel-farage-bank-account-shut-for-falling-below-wealth-limit/
  13. Just last week I went in to BBL to cancel a direct debit. They pulled out the paperwork used to set it up around 3 years ago in just a few minutes.
  14. Not sure - I don't use Opera.
  15. If your desktop browser deletes cookies on exit then Google may think you're logging in from a new device each time and instigate the extra security steps.
  16. I'm sure you would admit your GPT answer was nonsense?
  17. Bur you just wrote that your will was done by a lawyer and was incorrectly done, so maybe not foolproof advice?
  18. Presenting the old passport at check in when he leaves means it will get flagged up as invalid by his home country when they receive the API from the airline, potentially resulting in denied boarding. I'm not sure what the airline would think if presented new and old, but perhaps a supervisor could "fix" the system.
  19. Je t'adore. But his Spanish and Italian follow the same pattern.
  20. Just to have a laugh and tell me I should have spent a few hundred baht more for a brand named one? ???? OK, here goes: https://www.lazada.co.th/products/i4250982040-s16824617902.html
  21. I'm pretty sure all the Thai Airways marketed flights from CNX are operated by Thai Smile, so you'll be looking for their check-in desks. As of last week, when you got to the desk shown on the screens, those with domestic destinations were being re-directed to another totally different desk group. I followed that route so cannot answer with certainty about immigration.
  22. I've ordered the GoMo SIM recommended above from AIS and a "no-name" router from Lazada. Hopefully here by the middle of the week and I'll try them out.
  23. A mate just sent me this. Plenty data by the look of it and speeds "are not capped". A bit more expensive than those on Lazada. Is it worth pursuing?
  24. Indeed, in my defense I was only looking at the main packages, not the top ups! Per the OP, I still have to decide on a router as part of my move to a new system so not looked at individual specs yet. From my brief perusal, the routers I have seen are mainly 4G, not 5G (I've only looked at a couple so far). From my described usage would the slower speeds affect me adversely
