  1. Ex servicemen/women get pension increments even if they don't live in the UK. I also get disability benefit with increments even though I don't live in the UK. The other month I was paid 150 Quid for something I know nothing about. I think it was 'cost of living' payment. The place is crazy.
  2. I have 3 teenage children. Today I went to Buriram IO to renew my annual Marriage extension. My wife and I were asked to show our children's ID cards. In over 8 years I've/we've never been asked to show our children's ID cards. Thai children are only issued with an ID card from the age of 7. They become adults age 20 and then a married farang doesn't have to declare their children annually any more. So any farang with legitimate children be warned when now doing your annual extension. Also we were told that the show of money for a Marriage Extension needs to be in the bank 3 months prior to expiry date. I argued the toss and they didn't persist. A bad day at the IO today.
  3. This story is not news. It's a regular occurrence in Thailand when the rains come.
  4. The true fine is 500 Baht. For driving the wrong way. https://phuket-motorbike-rental.com/the-penalties-for-traffic-offenses-in-thaila Or it was 'Driving against traffic'' at 2,000 Baht and 500 Baht for something else?
  5. I take it as needed and it works.
  6. I doubt you'd find many Thais that would know where and who to report you to. Been here 18 years coming and as much as I get seen working around my house/garden I've never been reported.
  7. No it's not normal. A phone call prior can save them a wasted journey.

  10. The age of majority in Thailand is 20. Kwasaki referred to the police that stated they could do nothing cuz she wus over 18. Cuz you were wrong in stating what the police ,allegedly, told you about being being over 18 that they couldn't do nothing. So BS on that.
  11. Age of consent in Thailand is 15.
  12. Does this change your opinion on Elvis ? Yes. This news has left me 'All shook up'.
  13. Even if I was what's it got to do with the school?
  14. Of what use is my passport details etc to a school?
  15. Why is it that every year children have to submit their parents ID card number, their address and passport details at their schools request? I find it somewhat intrusive.
  16. Are carwash businesses to be closed?
  17. Noun. merkin (plural merkins) A woman's pubic wig. Worn for nude stage appearances and by women, originally after shaving their pubic hair to eliminate lice or for other reasons, now often as a fashion item.
  18. Some years back, after starting the build of our house, I lined up the boundary markers. To do this I hacked back my neighbour's overhanging tree branches. When she came home she wasn't too happy and physically attacked me. My mother in law phoned the police and a policeman responded within 10 minutes. Upon my MiL explaining the situation to the policeman he ordered the neighbour to cut the tree branches back to the boundary markers and he waited the 2 hours it took for her to do the task. Hard for me now to say a bad word about Thai police.
  19. When buying land in Thailand it's essential to know all about the land title deeds. No knowledge. No buy. Blackcab Got it right.

  21. Do you know the differences in land titles? IE Chanote and Sor Por Kor?
