Count yourself lucky. I have 3 children. 2 girls 1 boy. My wife will side with the boy above the girls. He can do no wrong his status is above the girls. Next comes the girls who have to be the laziest of people. Unless they're told to do something nothing gets done. Than there's me at the bottom of the heap. Don't worry Stu you're not alone.
Update
My wife is not going to ask for a copy of our daughter's contract which is to be signed next month. I've tried to reason with her but she feels that if we ask to see the contract prior to signing it they will see us as trouble makers and pass our daughter over. It's putting me off wanting to attend the signing but.............. Just gonna have to sit back and see.
I agree with what you say and I find it most unfair that a Thai can use a Thai license to drive in the UK for 12 months. Thereafter he must get a UK one. What chance do you give him of passing the test?
How'd they know you were drunk? I think one would be hard pushed to bump into a road stop and the police had a breathalyzer on them. May be at the station they'd have one.
Sold on Lazada. Pouches in the back cover for driving licence and your TM47 etc.

So that makes it okay to hiss farang about? What happened to 'all born equal'? May be it is their country but that doesn't mean I can't live here. I'm sure we don't make Thais in our country show 800,000 every year at immigration.
A farang woman married to a Thai male, even though she works as a school teacher, does not have to show 400,000 Baht for her visa/extension. Ridiculous. Totally wrong.
You made a quote but failed to attach the source of your quote. In breach of forum rules I believe?
I'll put it for you. https://thepattayanews.com/2022/11/19/nightclub-goers-tested-positive-for-drugs-in-pattaya-entertainment-venue-crackdown-passport-inspections-for-foreigners-to-continue/
I have 3 children all had to obtain ID cards on turning 7 years old. It's compulsory.

This is Thailand. They don't even obey the laws of the road.
ID cards are issued here at 7 years old. What's a policeman going to do to a 7 year old who's forgot his before he left the house? And if the 7 year old can't pay the fine are they gonna lock him up till he does? It's a mad house.
Having lived in Kirkcudbright for a number of years in the past I wouldn't give them the time of day. They think they're hard done by by the English for stealing their oil. I'm sure they think they'd all be millionaires if it wasn't for us.
I've Googled till my finger hurts and I cannot find a written down law quote that says a passport must always be carried. Nor can I find a legal quote for the fixed penalty if you don't. It's all cock and bull.
The best solution to all this tosh is to read this link.
