Most banks will not open an account while on a tourist visa or extension to one any longer. You can search around but it will be difficult to find one. You can pay an agent to open an account for you or if you leave and come back on a non imm visa of some type, then its not an issue. You can also go to your GF bank with her and explain your getting married and need the bank account to deposit the required money and they MIGHT help if you have the lump sum to deposit but all bets are off on that.

Thais in general (like most nationalities) view themselves as being in a higher social category than other nationalities, although even they see differences in social status due to skin color or location of the country. You had to present the docs at airport check in and again on arrival they were checked and then you went to quarantine had to take daily temp and got tested there too before release. I think it was first for 10 or 14 days and then down to 7 days later with a vaccine you didn't need to do pre test but had to show your vaccine records.

Not sure that's correct, Vaccinations was not mandatory to fly to Thailand. A pre-travel test and documentation was required along with quarantine. I flew in a total of 6 times during the covid situation
