I think more importantly her opinion is important to millions of what you call "lemmings" but the candidates call "voters". Her endorsement was a result of Trump posting fake endorsements by her, so he shot himself in the foot if her followers do turn out and vote for Harris. The real important question is what did swing state voters (especially undecided voters) think of the debate. As several media figures have pointed out John Kerry and Hilary Clinton were judged to have won presidential debates but neither became president.
