  1. No ants in the kettle here, but we do get scorpions wandering in. Trade ya!
  2. Why is it bad if a Thai girl hits the jackpot? Poverty & greed is everywhere. Ever hear the story of Anna Nicole Smith (ANS) and billionaire J Howard Marshall (JHM)? ANS was a stripper when JHS rolled (literally) into her work. He doted her with millions before they married, ANS was 26 and JHM merely 89. He died the next year, a happy man.
  3. Sure they did. Yeah THC remains in the system and can be detected in urine from 3-days to 30-days depending on frequency of usage. Amphetamines/meth can be detected in urine for at least 3-days from last usage. So the po-po didn't find even one offender in this bar as well as all the others? I'll bet if the police administered blood-alcohol tests, they wouldn't have found one drinker on site.
  4. "or just threaten..."? Did you think this one through? How does that equate to committing a criminal offence? And what exactly, is a deadly weapon?
  5. Seriously? NOBODY in the US calls the restroom or bathroom a "water closet". Maybe a pompous college student coming back from a semester abroad in Europe. I suspect that large numbers of Americans wouldn't even know what you meant if you asked for the "water closet" or "WC". If you ever visit the US, you'd get further by asking for el bano.
  6. What a load of dung. Less than 12% of Americans smoke tobacco, it is very unpopular. Weed on the other hand... And why wouldn't Japan, or Turkey be up there? They still have smokers in the 30% range.
  7. I've got a good painting contractor here in Silicon Valley. Would you like his number?
  8. I think the mask was supplying vital oxygen and you've only increased your brain damage as a result.
  9. Wait. Did the dead Russian file a complaint against the Brit for murdering him? With those Brits assaulted by those Thai bouncers, didn't the police say they needed for the Brits to file charges before they could proceed against the 3 bouncers?
  10. I am confused. Isn't Pattaya is a family-friendly resort area now? That's what the mayor said!
  11. At 72, it isn't worth intrusive medical procedures because the operation or recovery may be worse than your ailment. For lower back, you may have lumbar or sacroiliac joint deterioration which exercise will not help. If you want to continue exercising, choose less stressful methods which reduce the effects of gravity such as swimming, or even underwater walking. Perhaps an exercycle if that doesn't hurt.
  12. FINALLY! Brits have making the news. Thailand is back to normal!
  13. That's not a hotel room. Looks more like someone's dirty home filled with household garbage. And for a drunken rager, I don't see one can or bottle. Thailand is getting stranger and stranger.
  14. Dudes, The family probably wants the body repatriated because they want an autopsy performed in the UK. Perhaps they suspect shenanigans which resulted in his demise. Way too many countries automatically cremate tourist bodies specifically to destroy evidence of unnatural deaths. Not that I think this was the case, but I'm not a grieving family member. I have no problems with GFM, if I don't want to contribute, I don't.
  15. I am just so glad that the police are planning a crackdown, or as a former boss of mine would say: "We are planning to make a plan!" It must be so difficult for police to visit and arrest suspects at their homes!
  16. Supposedly, and I am no expert with weed, indica strains create more calming effects, such as may be needed to help sleep or relieve pain, etc. Sativa supposedly increases physical and brain activity helping with creativity while not causing the sleepiness of indica.
  17. Oh you silly goose! Of course the police will police it! Just like how they police against prostitution, gambling, yaba trafficking, and every slight whiff of corruption in the LoS!
  18. So weed-free tourists will have to go back to pounding beers all day at the beach before hitting the bars after sundown. What could go wrong?
  19. Hope this Chap turns up safe and with nothing more than a rip-roaring story to tell.
  20. Suicide. Especially since he was homeless and mentally ill (from reports). Not every Russian's demise is at the hands of organized crime...and if Russian mobsters did kill someone, they'd do it in a spectacular manner to warn others.
  21. Unfortunately, Oligarchs do have provable sources of wealth & income as they pretty-much own every business, industry, and commodity in Russia. The UK laws go after individuals, wives and their children who had no legitimate means of earning that kind of money based-on public service salaries in Third World countries.
  22. So your typical course of action is to start choking someone when you don't agree on the amount paid? So every time you go to a venue where Farang pricing is double that of the locals, you start choking people?
  23. The UK does have anti money laundering laws which require immigrants to prove their source of wealth. For her to show-up and probably buy a multi-million £ mansion in London, she would need to show how she got all that money when her husband only made around 60,000baht month salary.
  24. So the police are so lazy now that they want the victim to summon his attacker?
