From the following it seems the agreement is reached but what that really means it is hard to tell from this report. https://www.thestar.com.my/aseanplus/aseanplus-news/2023/03/15/thailand-approves-extradition-deal-with-russia-as-russians-flood-in

What Movies or TV shows are you watching (2023)
biervoormij replied to CharlieH's topic in Entertainment
I download Extraordinary a few months ago and just got around to watching it. I enjoyed it and it has a 7.8 rating on IMDB. I think that rating may be a little on the high side. I would recommend watching the trailer prior to downloading to see if it is something you might find interesting. It is a bit of a silly show. -
You may have meant this as a joke but would not put a smile on many peoples faces.

OA visa vs O visa (retirement)
biervoormij replied to Lorry's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
No problem from me you have answered some of my questions in the past. I don't know enough about visas to reply to anyone but every once in a while I think I can add something useful. I do wish the OP would reply and let the people that attempted to help what the solution was. -
Sorry @OneMoreFarang. I think I am wrong. Looking at what one site says he does not earn much from his YouTube channel. https://starstat.yt/ch/dan-about-thailand-net-worth

OA visa vs O visa (retirement)
biervoormij replied to Lorry's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Dr Jack, The OP had the following in his original post. "I am asking for a long term O visa/retirement extension holder who wants to move his 800000 out of Thailand and is thinking of OA. He leaves Thailand every year anyway. " He currently has a Non-Imm O but the 800K staying in Thailand is a problem. He did not talk about the income method but you may be correct and he is aware of this possibility. I wish I had the option of the income letter but not possible for me so never thought of it. -

Excellent point and would be a great way to go if his embassy supports this letter. Great idea for the OP! -

I am retired and have nothing holding me in one places so yes I might move to avoid a pain in the butt immigration office. I am planning on moving when my lease is up for renewal and if someone would rather go to Laos than deal with their local immigration office I would like to know which office that is.

Check your 20 baht Thai bills! You may be sitting on extra cash
biervoormij replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I am still looking for one of the notes where the Thai serial number at the top does not match the western numbers down the side. Checking for the lack of a strip will be much easier. If I find one where the numbers don't match and is also missing the strip how much is it worth? https://banknotenews.com/?p=37863 -
What Movies or TV shows are you watching (2023)
biervoormij replied to CharlieH's topic in Entertainment
I just finished watching the first season of 1923 and wondered what other people thought of this series? I found the big cat attack scenes in Africa funny. I don't think they spent much on those special affects. I have read that there is going to be another Yellowstone prequel 1944 coming next year. -
Passport needed for travel around Thailand?

I never take it when I go to the beach. It is much safer in my hotel room than in the waves. -
OA visa vs O visa (retirement)
biervoormij replied to Lorry's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Another option for your friend may be to change to the monthly transfer method over the 800K. If he started transferring 65K into Thailand each and every month after a year he can extend based on monthly transfers. It would take a long time before he can move the out of Thailand but may be better than applying for a new O-A every 2 years. -
OA visa vs O visa (retirement)
biervoormij replied to Lorry's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
When applying for the O-A you will require a background check and a medical. These are not required for the Non-imm O based on retirement. Not a big deal but two things required for the O-A. -

It did not rain at all while I was in Vientiane. The area where the city buses leave from is covered but could be a mud pit if raining. I think it is the same location as when I was in Laos in 2008. The google map link is the station I caught the bus to the bridge. Bus #14 https://www.google.com/maps/place/Bus+terminal/@17.9655801,102.6147617,16z/data=!4m15!1m8!3m7!1s0x31149057b0824589:0xec592481f99cd81!2sLaos!3b1!8m2!3d19.85627!4d102.495496!16zL20vMDRoaHY!3m5!1s0x312469182d6f7009:0x7019776ef004af78!8m2!3d17.9634151!4d102.6153634!16s%2Fg%2F11qq2p2plq

I found this in my garden anyone know what it is?
biervoormij replied to markclover's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I think it is called a spider man maker. Set spider on it then allow the spider to bite you. Tomorrow you should be able to shoot webs and climb walls. -
The beauty of using an agent.
biervoormij replied to JeffersLos's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Is there not a brown envelope exchange on the LEGIT visa? I just assumed the price is so high for the LEGIT visa because of a brown envelope. Is the fee someone pays not split between the agent and the IO? I assumed that the envelope was just larger in the cases where someone didn't meet the requirements.
