As a rule doctors work at hospitals rather than have clinics or medical centers as often is the case in other countries. Clinics (other than beauty type) often have a doctor that dispenses many packets of pills on the cheap - but often with little diagnostic procedure involved. In many cases not much of a step up from a qualified pharmacist.

But is OP case neither appear to have any family or friends in Thailand so no guests - so would appear to be money wasted.

Spam where? On email? What email service do you use? If using Gmail easy enough to mark as spam as they are received - and that platform had good ability to sort them out before delivery. Suspect you may have provided your email too easily to web sites or others asking on email and thus are on a list of easy marks. If unable to get under control perhaps a new email and tight control on who you provide it would be in order.

Anyone have any experience with air fryers?
lopburi3 replied to Kenny202's topic in Western Food in Thailand
Had the same experience with them - we paid less and got less. Some are lucky but our luck has been about 50% with items of that name and at some point give up. Been using Tefal for few years with no issue (although did like the removable basket of cheaper units). -
You are aware that import of medications requires import license so has always been problematic? Although mailed items in small quantities have often passed without inspection.

If you can not go out have someone visit a pharmacy and buy for you if need immediately would be my suggestion. Most would not be interested in delivery unless a known customer and expensive items I suspect.

Sellin my condo in Sukhumvit soi 59
lopburi3 replied to ezzra's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
My reading is he wants an agent for his condo in Bangkok - but been known to be wrong more than a few times. -
Several weeks ago had 22 year old refrigerator compressor turning off due to overheat - would normally come back on few hours later but would then fail again. Compressor was a 3 year old off name replacement but indeed the extreme heat can be causing issues so could be a compressor overheat trip that a remove/start electric resets (it sometimes did for my refrigerator). Perhaps a good cleaning in order (AC inside/outside should be cleaned every 6-12 months in my experience - a lot of dirt gets trapped in coils),

Perhaps the condo transformers are too small and air conditioners trip off at a low voltage? Not sure where you are but here in Bangkok (and suspect most of Thailand) temps have been at or above record levels most of the month so a lot more AC needed (and refrigerators/ice makers/freezers will all have issues keeping cool). Things should/may/hope/pray/maybe improve soon (or later). The world seems to be burning - and we are not exactly in the coolest area.

Are you asking about US passport? If so do not believe any Consulate outside of residence country will issue (but do not see any supporting info on web site so may be wrong). But as said Thailand mail can be used both ways now but current time seems to be closer to two months than weeks. Also believe Bangkok stopped providing letters in April this year so you just present old and new passports to immigration. https://th.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/passports/adult-passport-renew/

relocating Udon to Rayong, movers needed, but where to find?
lopburi3 replied to sirquest007's topic in General Topics
Most Thai use a hired 6 wheel truck who in turn hires a helper or 2 for such movements. Here in Bangkok they park on some side streets with signs on the side advertising for hire and any taxi/MC driver would be able to find. Upcountry suspect just asking around a bit would find. No there would likely not be any insurance involved, as with most things in Thailand. And you might want to ride in truck if concerned. -
The problem with that approach is all programs will have to be re-installed or new purchase to work. For most people with old programs the clone process may be a better option, even with a bunch of junk (SSD does not slow down with junk).

No it does not sound right at all but suspect an error may have already been made and now no other choice but to install new OS?

MEA in Bangkok to replace computer bills with SMS?
lopburi3 replied to lopburi3's topic in The Electrical Forum
OK sounds like they spreading that system then - no interest in any MEA app but expect it will just continue with automatic bank payment as has been the case for decades but will have to use SMS to view bill (which not that easy with a phone without internet access). Thanks. -
MEA in Bangkok to replace computer bills with SMS?
lopburi3 replied to lopburi3's topic in The Electrical Forum
We have automatic payment and do not believe has anything to do with that - just that they will not be providing handheld computer printout of meter reading as has always been the case previously. Normally meter reader goes to every house same day each month and prints out a usage/cost/bill for each house by manually checking meter reading. Appears they may be changing that. But they were providing a gift plastic container so maybe trying to get people onboard for a change in future. -
Have not seen any discussion but today MEA officials visited our village in Bangkok with request to present last electric bill and a phone number to link for future billing via SMS. Are they planning a quick change to electronic meters by chance?

Travel in another city
lopburi3 replied to Jack1988's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You are aware that some of us have DL that is original issue and over 50 years old? ???? Thailand used to issue a lifetime DL which I believe is still accepted. -
Is your wife Thai with Thai paperwork? Or is it going to be two foreigners getting married? There have also been issues with extra paperwork being required of foreigners as of late so make sure you are able to meet all requirements of the District Office you plan to use (wife also as she may not have ID card or home registration if family not live here). Seems it might be easier to do the official marriage in UK and then do what wife would like here.

Sorry have no local knowledge but might it be effective to take out and replace with plastic tank (obviously may not be viable depending on location). If an option am sure tank sales would have workers.
