  1. Not sure why you can not log in. You are going to this log in address: https://tm47.immigration.go.th/tm47/#/login If you have used before you enter email address and then password and then make out the security characters and type them in. Then hit login. For most of us a huge improvement over the old software.
  2. For me still using an original Safe T Cut purchased in 1978 and it is still appears to be working fine although have added several sub circuit panels with own RCBO over the years.
  3. From OP he is no where near Bangkok from his mention of flights. And he could have real issues now so probably best he does not explain multi re-entry fee is 3,800 and just get extension single re-entry each time to avoid domestic issues. ???? Make sure you can obtain new passport through Embassy in Laos - they might have restrictions on who can do what if on a tourist entry.
  4. That is the stuff you have to decode - and there is a lot of it. Then you have the computer experts that advertise the same item at 2 to 3 times normal price using a dozen or more passwords for names so when you search all you get is their advertising and if don't check further that pays for the day with a single order. And the platforms do nothing (they get there cut). But perhaps it is understandable - how many here accept the need for moderators? Suspect sellers on platforms do not like moderation either. Social media has changed the world - not always for the better. But in time? Maybe?
  5. Better index and sometimes price but payment options lacking (no bank payments at all now and no foreign credit cards - not a COD fan) - they have lost a long time customer for now.
  6. All he needs in new passport are entry/exit/permitted to stay stamps unless extending his stay or using a new visa for entry. Multi entry visa remains valid in old passport (but in the case of Thailand that would normally only be one year - for USA 10 years would be normal as most tourist visas are multi entry and have 10 year validity).
  7. They will not do any such thing regardless of your Embassy request - when they will do we have outlined - make notation in new passport of visa, entry, extensions and provide a new permitted to stay until stamp to the same date as in old passport.
  8. Extensions of stay are only valid to the expiration date of passport they are issued in. You can not legally stay in country without a valid passport. So yes you need to get new passport in hand before expiration date of current passport and transfer current information/make new extension of stay.
  9. They cost a lot and very much reduce AC air flow (never cover all of the intake area). Far from HEPA filtration but probably better than nothing. Remember you are paying a price in AC performance so it is more than the filter cost involved. Been there, done that, will no do again when dedicated units are available (and some AC units now come with such ability installed).
  10. Could you show that perhaps? Suspect appears that way but what was entered was a notation that you had such and such a visa and you, entered and are permitted to stay until date. Takes up almost 2 pages but does not transfer a visa and unless you were using multi entry visa it is all you need so old passport done. If you have multi entry visa however, you would still require showing both passports to get stamped in on the new one each time.
  11. You did get a visa exempt entry stamp and IO noticed? It appears he may have only noticed your O-A visa entry stamp - and from that you would use TM7 to extend.
  12. Actually had always used Hatari AP-12 (6,000 baht - replace filter 6 months at about 800 baht). But replaced with cheap Sharp FP-J30TA last month (due AP-12 making clicking noise) which less than 2,100 baht and seems to keep air cleaner (ppm lower). At night mode they claim 2 year filter life (filters available for less than 300 baht). It is PPM only (Harari had charcoal for smell also) but seems to work very well and we run at normal speed day/night and no real noise (background white noise at most) and very good air flow. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/sharp-23-fp-j30ta-abp-i261886938-s403171139.html
  13. Actually the same tech can solve both - make areas for water to flow/stay - let water flow when needed. Rather basic logic - the issue is getting people to accept loss of lands this would likely require. But perhaps more fish farming, rather than rice, could be part of solution.
  14. They make a notation of original visa and put new permitted to stay in new passport (same time as in old passport). If you have a multi entry visa you will need to show old passport as well as new to use it. Visas are never transferred - only permitted to stay stamps and information from visa (which can not be used for a new entry without original visa/passport).
  15. White cement seal of toilet base does stop gas and no bolts or wax seal are used in normal toilet install in Thailand. But often there is no toilet vent installed so flush is not complete (water does not clear all to below toilet bend). Also air vents can sometimes become clogged even when installed. Septic tanks and toilets should each have vents.
  16. Noted that after sending and revised post - sorry for my misunderstanding.
  17. Are you sure you are not talking about a one year bank statement - which must come from Hqs Bangkok Bank? That is the proof positive, with the passbook as secondary if Embassy does not provide statement of income. Edit: on second read see you are not talking 65k income but bank first time bank deposit - yes indeed proof of foreign origin is required for that so FTT might well not be enough by itself. Sorry for misread.
  18. Mine submitted 13th was approved today at 1800 here in Bangkok - so much slower than usual.
  19. That has not been my experience in Bangkok over the last two years - a year bank statement showing monthly FTT transfers at 65k or more and bank passbook/copies along with letter of account ownership has been the requirement. This is for deposits to Bangkok Bank. Only if a deposit was not listed as FTT would additional paperwork be required.
  20. You don't say where but I submitted on morning of 13th and still waiting in Bangkok. I would not advise cancel/redo in any case as that would reset the clock. There have been a lot of holidays this month and suspect increase (covid travel now possible) in travelers has immigration stretched thin (just as airports are). You have until 23rd to make report in person if not approved by then.
  21. Good luck - my Lenovo B310 All in One will be 12 years old in two more months. Replaced keyboard/mouse/upgraded to SSD - but machine just will not die.
  22. Have stayed with such and currently using Nokia 3310 3G (real - maid got the fake) but find keys a bit too small and duel use of answer/hang up keys a pain. Good battery life and feels good. Have ordered Nokia 110 4G and expect to like it as had a 2G about the same which just use for alarm clock now. Made mistake of buying Dtac Beyond 912 - Android based but looks like basic phone - battery dead within hours - but looks nice (and has voice if you can't see numbers you push) and for old person who wants social media with basic call/SMS might work.
  23. As said you have to open a new account - with all that entails. And they likely will not want to close your old account (you might want to use again) so you can take it down to almost no baht (but if you want to keep it open be sure to have enough to pay yearly fees for no use).
  24. Although not specific to SS (actually to a bank PO box) the registered method not only delays receipt - it can take forever as firstly the actual post office must sign for letter and that means delivery when postmaster is available - which seems to be seldom with US civilian post office. Then once he signs for someone with authority to sign from destination must queue to obtain (and suspect they just grab mail and do not even check for registered notice). I spent several weeks after letter was in destination city before bank received and processed a check. Normal mail to same PO box was never a problem and quickly received/processed.
  25. I used Lazada COD for years and never had any issues at all. I use CC now and still no issues - any item not sent is quickly credited back to CC. This thread was about items having your name/address that were not ordered - scam COD which is common these days and probably nothing to do with selling platforms or members but just someone using system delivery systems to scam and change name before doing next time.
