  1. Was still editing the comment but yes, that didn't change ????
  2. Sugar is the worst drug in the world with most addicts too. It very hard to get rid of it in today's world, I recently stopped drinking coffee with sugar due to the fact that my grab / shop forgot it every time. Now I'm used to it and not do it anymore. Same time I know this is pathetic, as I still love a ice cold can of coca cola too. That alone is like 20 spoons I believe? Recently seen a YouTube video about coca cola that explains how evil they are and that they actually have a lot hidden marketing targeting kids from a young age to love the brand, same as with the christmas stuff.
  3. Airline fuel is bought in contracts, the current price is not even relevant, unless its about a new contract. That is also why prices not go up or down at the same time.
  4. Well they talk about fuel but I call it nonsense. Many flights of similar distances are priced entirely different. Also they changed many flight times to times that make no sense at all. For example the Chiang Mai Khon Kaen flights are very limited but reasonable priced, but Udon Thani costs double. Also Chiang Mai to Surat Thani now arrives at 9PM, forcing one to stay in the city over night and wasting time (before being able to go to samui, phangan, tao). From bangkok to anywhere and to bangkok from anywhere it is still cheap as chips.
  5. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/mobi-garden-i4323117973.html?spm=a2o4m.searchlist.list.1.405f328bLrsdZK 2 person 2300 baht, same decathlon range.
  6. What do you consider cheap? I seen recently a mid range brand that looks decent called ''mobi garden tent'' in various dimensions on Lazada. From 2-3K baht, 5 stars on 600 sales. Would also buy a tarp on Lazada on top, they are cheap and come with poles. Sleeping bag I guess I would buy in Australia itself, the ones here are not isolated much.
  7. I guess I have quality clothes then as my jeans and shirts are always as if they are ironed. Maybe you wear 50 baht shirts from the market, those always look horrible after washing and drying them. This is also why i not use a dryer, it ruins clothes.
  8. Nothing beats drying it by the sun, also because you then not have to iron most items. Doing laundry in the wet cold country I am from used to be horror, here it is a dream.
  9. It obviously comes from the fact that Thais rarely use their balcony for personal use. It is more for drying clothes, the AC unit, putting the cleaning stuff at. I really do not get it either, how they build all these condo buildings, and nobody ever came with a better way. It must be about money again, greed, by developers. I do know various older but luxury condo's that have them hang under the balcony on the wall. I personally did what one of the posters here showed in a photo, cover it with wood and made it a small table with 2 chairs still fitting next to it.
  10. You must be the first person I come across in over a decade, in Thailand, that uses a dryer lol. The sun here does the same job usually in just 1 hour.
  11. From an island perspective I think aluminium is much smarter than glass. You can compress all the cans on the island resulting in much less volume and weight to transport it back to the mainland and recycle. Not all fast or easy solutions are better, same solar being overrated as of all the issues the old panels cause as well the batteries. Not to mention the damage done mining what is needed for these panels and batteries compared to oil, most existing after water.
  12. Luckily this is only for the silly tourists, I always get a frozen glass with it on all islands in that area. Hate drinking from cans.
  13. The same answer as given before, you ask a question for which you can or know already, that you are in that case excluded. So either you have to change your life to be able to get one of those visa's or accept the situation you are in and deal with it. If you don't want to do that, you know the answer again already too. In your case you pay more for a yearly variant or have to do multiple visits in and out the country. Such a waste of data this.
  14. I know, I just state the options as you ask obvious question. You could also get a business visa extension for 1900 baht immigration costs under 50, or a work visa paid by the company.
  15. A non-o visa based on a child, you can stay single and be under 50 in theory.
  16. I'm sorry but even with a million dollar in net worth, I would think this is too much, and do it another way, as that is possible. You can buy a old studio for this money, own property and live rent free. Insane.
  17. Damn, they really really not even get the slightest idea. This is just so stupid, that it becomes sad. Like you would wish nobody such low IQ. I was expecting a lowering of prices. For example a 5 year elite visa for 250,000 baht, still expensive, but much better. Why on earth would you pay near 200,000 a year upfront for 5 years. You can setup a business for 1/3rd of the cost and still get a business visa, or any other type of visa in 10 directions (with agents). It is that much money you could even establish a company overseas, to then make a business here to have a representative office company and then get a non-b too. I would even keep messing around tourist visa's more likely, as it gives a very big travel budget to make it fun and worth it. Could visit multiple countries far away and many times within SE asia.
  18. This figure is almost over a decade old, if not already. Same as it is long known with the USA stats that they barely have 500 dollar for emergencies, without turning to one of the many credit cards. But the reality is that another 3/10 barely survives 3 months. 1/10 6 months. So in reality less than 1/10 or 1/20 people, have their things properly in order. And that is still not rich. It is the same in almost all other western countries. Last but not least, to make it even worse, those who are in the better situation, usually are older already, so it is kind of logical that they now do have some buffer, but if you look at the actual performance and wealth in general, even those people kind of suck. That includes retirees today with 500-750K. Just like youtube videos, there are always millions of views for making more money, getting rich trading, doing this or that, yet there is barely 100 on a million views taking action with results. They say it is just how the universe works, the most is always with a few. Just like a few football players are the best, the hottest guy get most girls etc etc etc. The funny thing on this universe works is, that on every research done, when redistributing it equally, it still goes back to a few every single time. So if you make good money doing something few (can) do, certainly do not stop.
  19. I do not have a fixed routine aside from making sure I get my right doses of fitness, food, sex, being social, spending time family, learning new things and continue to do business. Sometimes I sleep mornings, sometimes nights.
  20. That has nothing to do with a routine but with discipline and planning. I do not plan any day and every day and week is different, sometimes I have projects on, sometimes I deal with other timezones. Never an issue to still always be ahead of the game and have my stuff in order. It is usually simply the radical choice people make: play safe and be poorer or take a risk and be richer, have no rules at all OR have too many rules. It is this inflexibility that fks most people in many areas of life, during the entire life. It is also weakness, you don't trust yourself hence you depend on a set of rules, or you apparently fail or are afraid to go trough the learning curve. The entire forces mindset is based on making things work as being one as a group of 10 or more, says zero about individual life.
  21. I do not feel offended, I just know that people like you, pointing fingers at others, are the worst of all in Thailand. Everyone agrees. You even judge a group that's mainly repeating tourists.
  22. Never heard that one before, I believe it right away, they think lottery is more likely than retirement too.
  23. Last time I drove in a car to pattaya, we came across a huge rock on the high way, that smashed the bumper and nearly hit the window.
  24. Ehh right, the opposite is true, they will be back as forex will have it's better decade again soon. I think the worst of all are people like you, stating this.
  25. People always liked Mexico, same people in UK and Europe love Spain. This has zero to do with Thailand or it's expat niche, next generations or the future.
