Naked British man caught wandering around beach on Samui Island
ChaiyaTH replied to webfact's topic in Koh Samui News
Well I almost weekly see half naked girls at some beach areas in Phangan, but if a guy would do it, they call the police. O no sorry, we don't really have police on Phangan. Life is good here. -
This is the common 600-900 baht room, specially at that size and with a balcony. Not sure what you are whining about. It's super cheap, specially with today's forex. I average always end up paying that, if not taking the 1000 upgrade to a lucky deal sometimes at for example Ibis or Holiday inn etc. Let me guess, you were only a repeating customers since covid or before it and now think you should be given a red carpet and 50% discount lifetime? I guess I should complain with Sofitel Bangkok too that the prices aren't 2K a night anymore now.

The name Bangkok, used commonly by foreigners, is, according to one interpretation, derived from a name that dates to the time before the city was built—the village or district (bang) of wild plums (makok). Do you also think that Thais with a last name with 'porn' in it are actors? I thought that when I just arrived.

They are constantly in the south and there is no issue for them. As always it is only us westerners making it such a drama. To then blame the whole financial crisis on it on top of course. In fact my volleybal telegram group consists of 50/50 Russians and Ukrainians, many of them are actually behind Russia too.

The correct saying is Saam Saam Saam, 3 inch, 3 minutes, 3000 baht. Not 4.

I have quite a few male Thai friends but to be honest, all of them behave as if they are 10-15 years younger, even they might not with their job or business itself. Usually they bore me, only for socialising with food and drinks, as they can never make any decision themselves and basically behave like teenagers, also in what they like to do. Those who are different, are usually just as busy as I am, so we rarely meet, but very few of them.

If you want a real bodyguard, armed, gonna be at least 20-30K baht per 12 hours. I'd say pointless to have an armed one as they won't shoot anyone for you at those rates anyway. More likely that they would cheat you, if people are after you and it's worth money. So you might as well hire a random Muay Thai guy in that case and just have cash ready for issues.

Entry worrying with Volunteer visa history
ChaiyaTH replied to Shueng's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Yeah it is pretty easy indeed, my yearly extension is due early December, almost considered to just do 1 weekend trip to Vietnam or Kuala Lumpur + get 60 days non-o child extension on top = 105 days each time... At least from next year I will do that in between, then it is more like 15 months in total if doing a year extension at last. -
Israeli man arrested at Phuket Airport with 55 firearm bullets
ChaiyaTH replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
55 is like barely 2 mags with 5.56 average. Normally if new they are on plastic clips as well so this sounds like he is just one of the less bright people around us. -
If you pretend you sold the wrong article by accident it is a civil case and not considered fraud, some criminals use nominees to setup endless seller accounts on platforms, cash the money out until the platform finally blocks them (if at all). Or some even do refund if the consumer is not giving up, returning it etc etc as they know few will, with the latter, they can go on forever.

Classical fake just like with USB sticks on Lazada and Shopee. Even you could get 20TB for that price, I would be scared, as you can't rely on the normal lifespan of the disk due to quality.

Entry worrying with Volunteer visa history
ChaiyaTH replied to Shueng's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
That is actually ironic if you think about it, they made it more attractive to do border runs than to get a tourist visa. Certainly not worth the 15 days more knowing it costs 2K in fees aside of longer duration abroad (hotel cost etc). -
Thinking of going for Apple for the first time..
ChaiyaTH replied to brewsterbudgen's topic in Apple Products
Any professional user would change after the average of 5 years anyway, then if it comes to some security bugs due to older versions, that is just not a statement at all. First of all because the main target is still Windows computers aside of a majority of Windows computers running on outdated software too. The usual unsupported updates for older Macs also usually barely affects functionalities or the ability to still use all software over a full decade. -
Hope she leaves you soon

Entry worrying with Volunteer visa history
ChaiyaTH replied to Shueng's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Only one way to find out anyway so pointless to fear something unless you know more than you tell us. I would personally actually do a border entry in such cases, as at least it's less hassle then when being refused. Could just go back to Malay, Lao or Cambodia hehe. -
I don't believe a word of any of the things they say there, in terms of THC or CBD percentages. Not to mention I would not be surprised half of those 'newbie ganja farmers, usually Thai farmers doing the actual work, using pesticides and the like to get the best results or avoid bugs, while not flushing with water the last 4 weeks. If most weed was actually even close to 15% of THC, the crappier cheap ones would be much nicer and also more populair. I think the majority hardly makes it to 7% even.

Yeah I mean, I was a business line seller for Dell and Lenovo for years, and then I met my MacBook Air... Quit my job too. -
Why are many visas based on age?
ChaiyaTH replied to timoti's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Because the returns on rent suck, aside of the fact that the quality of build here would need a new house by the time most finish a mortgage, so that is just like renting as they will need a new loan. The only who should buy are those who earn so little, that paying the mortgage is the only 'significant' way of saving for the future. It is an old concept, it is not for the future and even in all the decades that worked, you would still been 2x richer if you invested it elsewhere. This is also why it's usually always old people who recommend it, it's all financial education they have: 1) Work until you can't even have sex without viagra 2) Don't live above your means, live very boring and sober to save money you never spend alive 3) Buy a house, renting sucks, as you can see in point 1 and 2 above, I figured life out as a genius. -

You simply prepare the proper description, details and photos. Then you start posting it everywhere you can, and you repeat posting this as long as needed. -

Why are many visas based on age?
ChaiyaTH replied to timoti's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Because just like many other types of laws, they are written decades ago, you could say to be the ''old world'' would make it very uncommon for people to work remotely or retire younger so far away etc. To add that visa's were never an issue until the big changes since Uncle P., thanks to corruption or just repeatedly paying the max 20K fine, not having helped to push changing immigration laws to modern times. But we are close, it is just that progress here is turtle speed, might still take 5 years more before we see proper change. But just like with cannabis, it can also be changed out of nowhere. Nobody would have thought you can good indoor anywhere without having to be scared either, if you told them 5 years ago. They will need younger people as old people become more scarce.
