I don't this that would be the case as OP has a marriage extension. I got such extensions from jan 19 to Jan 22 and HI wasn't even mentioned.

One has to understand that local police operate as a kind of security service, if you try to get their services for free it is highly unlikely they'll do anything. I have some kind of "red box" subscription, and pay some subsidies to their various social events. Costs me about 1000 Baht a month, very useful so far.
