Cashing out crypto in Thailand, under the new tax rules of 2024
Jenkins9039 replied to cleanac's topic in Cryptocurrency News
15% ?? If you are selling 'crypto' for 'fiat' its based on income levels this year (until 1/1/23) However if you are selling 'Stablecoins' that are matured (12+ months) and sourced from a overseas company (income/dividends etc), it's 0% + what ever fees occur at point of conversion. From next year: If its stablecoins that are earned before 1/1/23 then it's 'savings', if after it's income. If crypto it's Income Tax + Withholding Tax + fee(s). -
Card(s) have names on them -> name + Immigration records = tax amount owed. Card(s) are issued by financial institutions which share financial information under CRS = Name + CRS Account Information + Drill-into (enquiries) ~ Thailand focused transactions = Tax amount owed. One blessing ~ 100+ countries voted to move away from OECD recently ~ if that occurs then CRS is dead. Downside is Western Governments will force in a FACTA like system and probably introduce taxes for non-residents.

260,000$ ~ 360,000$ based on the debasement that has to occur this year (Refinancing State Debt & Commercial Debt being absorbed on to the CB Balance Sheets).

Same happened in my home previously had bundles of 100k for paying a bill (medical) and they were in a 'safe'. Person unbundled, mixed together and took about 130,000 out of it. Was a shock. Obviously had been listening/watching over a long time and heard a pin being discussed for something else and chanced it on the safe.

Avoid blacklist at Airport

Should have no immigration requirements if bringing up half Thai kids... Would resolve the demographic issue in a heart beat also lol -
New passaport while in overstay
Jenkins9039 replied to Mika78's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
That doesn't work because if on overstay they detain at the airport lol. SO ensure you have the funds to book a second flight, lawyer representation and other things for when you are detained, charged, miss flight, court, detention, then deportation on a Thai Airways flight later. -
Is Thailand heading towards an economic crisis?
Jenkins9039 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
There's a least one smart chap here. We live in an era of debt roll-over financing and printing the difference, the entire world blew up in 08, and a debt jubiliee was enacted, we no longer care about repayment, merely servicing the costs. Cycle is every 3-5 yrs, roll-over year is 24/23 (state - commercial). Asset prices will rise, gov will enact tightening late 25 into 26 and we will see the same - depressed state - followed by a new market in 27-29. -

Jenkins9039 replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
What's with arresting during departure opposed to kicking the door down which was the norm. -
Seems as Xendpay bit the dust

If based out of EUROPE/UK likely Money Laundering Investigations. -
Well, reading this, can deduce that its going to involve some sort of crackdown on expats/property ownership. involves provincial officials and police, immigration, tourist police, and the provincial land department office, in partnership with representatives from the private sector. These include the Phuket Chamber of Commerce, Phuket Tourist Association, Phuket Real Estate Association, and the southern chapter of the Thai Hotels Association.

How does Bali compare to Pattaya or Phuket
Jenkins9039 replied to georgegeorgia's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Isle of the Gods... nicer climate, costs roughly the same as Thailand, some tourist places on par with phuket tourist places, people are nice, pre covid used to fly down every year for a break
