  1. My wife likes to buy gold from Aurora. (Actually she likes to buy gold from anywhere - lol) We have had no issues selling gold back to them - but there were 2 occasions where it took them 24 hours to reimburse money to wifes bank account. This was apparently because everything had to be organised by head office - and we don't live in Bangkok. For variety and quality of product - Wife prefers 'Chin' gold
  2. If this stalling event only happened on one occasion - and the car has been okay since then - I think you are worrying unnecessarily - possibly overreacting? Enjoy your new car.
  3. I need a stronger lens for my right eye - but was unable to configure this with Zenni when I ordered through them. Have others managed to do this? Is there a work-around? - or am I just weird?
  4. I have recently started using a VPN (and switched on ‘cleanweb’) specifically for this site. It works very well to stop pop-ups and ads. Hallelujah. However - many other sites I visit are slow to connect (or will not) - so I often have to pause the Surfing shark while I connect. A small price to pay IMO.
  5. In Australia in the 70s we thought the Brits killed their industry by producing rubbish quality cars. We had Leyland and morris vehicles . They were absolute <deleted>. Marina, and the locally engineered P76 - absolute cr#p. I had a few British cars, triumph Herald - great to look at, but not a great driving experience (!) . Jensen interceptor - a brilliant car ruined by British electricals (Lucas) , & a Hillman Hunter Estate while working in the UK - more cr #p. The 79 3 door Range Rover I had was fun to drive -but crazy thirsty - but the torque body roll you got when you revved that insipid 3.5 V8 made you forgive it! The quality & reliability of the vehicles made in the UK in the 70s and 80s was abysmal - and that led to their demise. After this the UK car industry was more construction , not design.
  6. IMO the car is no longer a 'classic' car after the conversion. It may be more user friendly, and 'modernised' - but it is no longer Original. The value in a Classic Car is its' originality - its Pedigree. I have looked at some Classics here in Thailand with a view to buying them - but then walked away after discovering the original engine has been replaced with a Toyota engine! If I opened the hood and saw an electric motor - I would run not walk!
  7. I do exactly the same thing - but have still had little response. (In saying that, I have sold 4 cars & 3 drones over the last 2 years - but I price fairly for a quick sale) Yes - resellers are a pain - and generally try to beat you down drastically on price. All I can say is that buying and selling of vehicles was much easier in my home country (Australia)
  8. If I was looking for a small hatch now - Mazda 2 or 3 would be on the top of my list. I do not rate quality of Mitsubishi or Nissan - so agree with your wife there. Yaris is a bit tinny - and like you, I am no fan of CVT. We had a Honda HRV and the transmission was not impressive! I find Suzukis & MGs uninspiring and cheap feeling!
  9. Yes - especially the tail light delete - to make other road users more attentive - moreso at night
  10. You neglected to mention the mandatory removal of the 'uncool' mirrors...
  11. I got no serious responses from FB marketplace or One2cars - eventually found a lucky buyer on Bahtsold. In my experience, private car sales by a non-Thai speaker can be more difficult here.
  12. About 15ml overnight near Kanchanaburi. Epic lightning show at 1am.
  13. We have 3BB & their streaming speeds are fine for youtube & Netflix - but we routinely have service interruptions once or twice weekly because of cable issues. When we move house we will change to AIS
  14. and the RTP regularly perform random checks...
  15. There are butterflies there - but many species are seasonal. However what you are seeing is a worldwide phenomenon - where insect numbers are rapidly declining, due to injudicious insecticide use and more importantly habitat destruction. As a kid in my native Australia, I remember driving holidays where we would have to stop every few hours and clean the dead bugs off of the windscreen - that has not happened for nearly 30 years there now. The insect biomass is reducing annually - and when they are gone - we will be too!
  16. Sold - but definitely NO thanks to this Forum. All that is here is crickets ???????????? Switch off the lights after you leave please.
  17. OK. Bump. I am tired of this car taking up space under my carport - I am now accepting 395,000 Baht - or very near offer. As an aside - AN car classifieds are not very successful!! I see many Ads with many views - but no replies. Too much pecuniary embarrassment here I fear..
