Let's say you want to go halfway down Soi Bukow....And you are on the wrong end of a one-way street.....You then must walk to 2nd or 3rd road catch a baht bus to the halfway point then walk all the way back to Soi Bukow.... Also, there are no baht buses on 3rd road....... Plus Soi Bukow is a horrible street for walking... Ok then just hit all the old beer bar areas you can find.....Look for one that has a wall with plants in the background.....If you find one then look for the green light...... Its only a numbers game..... The more bars that are looked at the more the odds move in your favor.........Outside odds say you might find it in 5 minutes and outside odds also say you will never find it....

I would go check those old beer bars on the road that leads to the Nakula fish market...

In the USA they ask you not to file if your income is under taxable levels.. And Thailand has not given a rat's azz if the huge numbers of Thais filed or not..

I dont know where the bar is... But by the layout its pretty clear this is a older beer bar.... And that green light would identify this bar quickly if you were there...

I bet there are 10s of thousands of older expats who would just about be living under a bridge if forced to go back to their home country due to the cost of living and having no family..... A passport is only paper.......And their home is Thailand, except for the passport....... But considering their money was made in their home country they should be covered by DTAs...

Alls anyone has to do is read through this 100 page thread to see how vastly complex it would be to tax the income of the many natioalities that live in Thailand.... Different languages, different tax treaties, different income streams, different ways to import money into Thailand....Bla bla bla bla bla Like l have said before they are drowning and they have not even jumped in the water......I just dont see it happening....Retired expats on a pension are a piss poor source for tax money...

This I think is the first article I have ever read where the Thais were even thinking of doing anything for expats...... Expats have always been viewed as dirty unpleasent and barely tolerated in Thailand by the hi-so Thais.....

I would guess maybe only 10-20% of the budget of any construction prodject is spent on the prodject.......The rest is in someones pocket...
