Very sure, but to landlines only for that price. Good for banks and government departments. https://www.true.th/truemoveh/site/international_service/international_call/00600?ln=en

I use my True/Dtac SIM to call bank landlines in Australia, using the 00600 code. 1 baht a minute is cheap enough to listen to 45 minutes of "hold music" on the odd occasion a call becomes necessary. The US is 1 baht a minute too, so I'm sure the UK will be the same price.

Future Uncertain for Retiree Bank Accounts in Thailand
JensenZ replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I'm in the other camp. I prefer using cards and other electronic payments including QR over cash. It doesn't hurt as much and I have a record. I don't know why people have problems with using cards. I hardly touch cash these days and haven't for many years. -

I'll confirm for the bank I use and won't speak for them all. The OP mentioned a 15-baht fee for a QR payment with the Bangkok Bank. -

Is It Just Me, Or Are Thai Staff Getting Ruder By The Day?
JensenZ replied to SoCal1990's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I haven't noticed any decline in table service in restaurants over the 19 years I've been here, in Pattaya, at the places I frequent. The franchise restaurants are just as friendly as they have ever been, and markets around town are still friendly, whether you speak Thai or not. I did have a surprising experience yesterday at the main Fascino branch on Pattaya Nua. I went up to the counter to pay for my items, placed them on the counter, and waited for someone to serve me. I counted 9 staff behind the counter, most wearing bright orange uniforms. No one served me until I asked if there was someone who would. When I asked them if I was invisible, they apologized. I was the only customer there at the time. They seem way overstaffed. I don't know what they all do. This is a one-off experience, but at Fascino they used to bug you when you entered the store, and I prefer to be left alone when shopping there. -

And don't eat local Thai steak rare or you might end up with tapeworms. I got them from rare roast beef in Big C. There is a solution for people who want to eat rare Thai beef - freeze it for 24 hours to kill the cysts in the meat. Of course, this only works for meat you cook yourself at home. -
I will support and will always support the cheapest prices, wherever I find them. I buy for my benefit, not for the benefit of the sellers, wherever they may be.

"China will dump stuff to Thailand"? Look around (Thailand), China is and has already been dumping, for many years. Who cares about stuff from the US when you can get everything from China, usually with free shipping?

Filipina's Viral Video Criticising Thai Women Sparks Backlash
JensenZ replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Spot on. Anyone who thinks both countries are poor must have been travelling both countries blindfolded. Thailand is not a poor country at all, unlike the Philippines, which is very poor. They aren't even close. The biggest difference is the population and median age. In Thailand, the median age of about 72 million people is just over 40, whereas in the Philippines, the median age of about 116 million is 24. This means that there are a lot more young ladies looking for foreign support. In the Philippines, a man of any age can easily find a 20-year-old without children to marry, whereas, in Thailand, it's mainly the single mothers in the 30-plus age category looking to marry foreigners. The Filipinos marry foreigners mainly because their (Huge) families are dirt poor. In Thailand, it's single mothers struggling to survive after being abandoned by their husbands. It's a different ball game. In the Philippines, you'll be dating ladies 10 - 20 years younger than in Thailand. Of course, there are exceptions, but this is the general state of affairs. -
I spent two hours helping a girl to get a new job
JensenZ replied to steven100's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
"These people"? How about you restrict the insults to your girlfriend? (and leave the rest of the Thai population out of it). My girlfriend has a university degree, works 6 days a week at a 5* hotel, and has worked at various office jobs for major companies since getting her degree. She's extremely disciplined and never late. She's never had trouble finding work in Bangkok or Pattaya. Her work ethic is outstanding. The problem is that expats spend too much time around bar girls and can't see the majority of the population working their a**es off at regular jobs. You're thick with the insults today. What's wasting 2 hours for you? You probably already wasted over 2 hours posting about your problem today. -
Bangkok's Air Crisis Escalates: Fourth Worst Globally for Pollution
JensenZ replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
It's not dumb coming for a one or two-week holiday, even with high readings. Tourists normally can't choose when to travel and In most cases would be unaware of the air pollution problems. I don't have any health ailments resulting from the high levels, and I do intense exercise most days. I don't notice it at all. What's the point of worrying about it? Most of us are old anyway and soon to expire LOL. -

Pattaya has places near the beach with just as high readings as Bangkok. It was very hazy this morning. -

Isn't it just a matter of waiting for the next one... I've had to wait for the next train before, but you can still get on a train. -

The only thing that has changed is that their heads are buried even deeper. Their suggestion that people should be encouraged to work from home is asinine. If that were possible, the city would ground to a halt, not to mention most people would not be getting any pay. -
I fired a date for voting for Trump

My lady works 9 hours a day, usually with one day off a week. She works the regular day shift and I'm enjoying having some alone time every day. I was married and used to having my wife around 24 hours a day, so I'm enjoying the change. It's kinda nice to have some away time to miss each other. She exercises in my home gym after work and we are both into exercise, which is great. -

You can dip quite low, but to me, it's more about the responsibilities that will come with younger ages. Most Thai ladies on dating sites have children and are looking for support. That doesn't mean they won't give you your heart if you genuinely care for them and their children. They tend to be more attracted to kindness than age and physical appearance, and can genuinely fall for an older guy. It doesn't hurt to be a well-kept older guy who looks after himself. This is why I normally go for early/mid-40s and ladies who have grown children. The golden rule is to never go for women who have worked in the sex trade. You need to resist them, which is not always easy as many are very attractive and sexy. Of course, you must research and find out what they've been doing. Some will pretend to be "good" girls when they are freelancers. I worked hard and dated many women to find a good one. If you don't take it too seriously, it can be fun. I did try a short 6-week relationship with a 26-year-old with a 3-year-old kid, but that didn't work out too well, but that doesn't mean you won't be able to find a good girl in her 20s. It wasn't her age that was the problem, but other issues. She was a money pit. It didn't help that I had developed feelings for her. -

Yes, and if you don't want to have young children to take care of, the early '40s is a good starting point. -
That's the one I've been using. All I can say is it works, and works well, and I get it from a pharmacy that has a reputation for selling quality products. Where can you buy it for 200 baht? I pay 400 or 1000 for 3 packets. I expect the export packaging will be different to the domestic Indian packaging, probably aimed at making it more attractive. I've never tried Lilly, but I'll probably not try it. I see a lot of their products have the "Cialis" brand name displayed on their packaging, a clear violation of the trademark. If you're really concerned about authenticity, then you can buy the real Cialis from any major pharmacy, but it's very expensive.

LOL< asking if they are fake. It's Tadalafil. I'm not going to advertise the brand here, but they work great and have done wonders for my prostate at 5mg per day. I'm pissing like a young guy once again. The protocol is 5mg per day and 10mg before action when duty calls. They are 20mg and I cut them into halves or quarters with a pill cutter. Sidegra (sildenafil) works well at 50mg or 100mg, but it's a shorter action, and I get terrible heartburn from it that can last a whole day, so I stopped using it. It's more suitable if you're going to grab a bargirl, but in a relationship, Tadalafil allows more spontaneity over a longer period.

I'm quite happy to be #2, and be her teacher. It's amazing, the best I've experienced. She doesn't need to be worn down as I'm doing that and she can't get enough LOL. Finding a 33-year-old with no children is the hardest thing. I've come across 2, and both worked in hotels. It's bizarre because both are the same age and work for the same hotel chain, one in Pattaya and one in Bangkok. The main benefit of being #3 might be that she speaks more English. There are a lot of lonely ladies out there who don't sell their bodies for money. You have to be patient and do your research. It's a lot easier if you live in Bangkok. -

That's because she isn't. I wouldn't be able to get anywhere near a HiSo family and wouldn't want to anyway.
