Tourist venues should be exempt from this nonsense.
Why should people on holiday and staying in hotels or at resorts be subjected to ill-conceived election regulations?
From my experience they actively target the tourist areas with enforcement.

For context, Mr. Silpa-Archa is the son of former Thai PM and construction billionaire Banharn 'slippery eel' Silpa-Archa.
Not defending his actions, but as the foreigner is an expat and had been married for seven years to a Thai, the deportation order does seem a little draconian.
I guess another warning that as foreigners, we're all only temporarily here.

Thais are terrible drivers that do not understand simple concepts of road safety such as right of way.
A proper competence and assessment process would eliminate most of the issues and improve safety overall.
Unfortunately this appears to be utterly beyond their ability to implement.
If this was done, they could then focus on proper enforcement, but that isn't going to happen when 70% of the traffic cops themselves don't even know (or care) about the rules.

That is not "Thai logic". Multiple tickets of the same winning numbers mean multiple payouts, i.e if you buy 10 tickets with the same winning number your prize is multiplied by a factor of ten.
Isn't that what I explained?
They charge more for purchases of multiple tickets because you may win more. Thai logic.

My wife said they were confused which direction I was going to go.
It was a straight road. It's always someone else's fault. My tgf was the same.
Even in the face of such obvious and abject stupidity they always try to shift the blame.

Thais do not have to get a COVID test before returning in repatriation flight. For most, test done while in quarantine will be their first test.
In addition it is quite common for people to test negative early in he infection.
I think you need to pin that in bold at the top of every one of these update threads!

I, of course, mentioned the invasion of ???????? in 1979. As for the rest:
"Manchukuo" was a part of China taken by the Japanese during the Sino-Japanese wars of the '30s...so China was '"invading" ????????????????????
Invasion of China in 1949...they invaded themselves..again? ????????????
Tibet may or may not be considered a part of China, depending on one's point of view.
North Korea invaded South Korea...and then when South Korea and it's American ally invaded North Korea, and then made explicit threats to "cross the Yalu River" into China, China intervened on behalf of their North Korean ally to push South Korean and American forces back to the 38th Parallel.
China didn't invade India in 1962...the exact demarcation of the border between India and China is disputed. This was one in a series of border squirmishes between the two countries that continues to this day.
It would have been pretty unusual for ???????? to invade the Soviet Union in 1969 considering they were Cold War allies at the time. As I was only 4 at the time, maybe I missed it.
Good or bad who's to say...they are a country of 1.5B people, re-asserting themselves on the world stage after 200 years of mistreatment by colonial Western powers, invasion and occupation by Imperial Japan, internal civil wars and conflict, and mass poverty and starvation. It's probably best if we can learn to get along because China isn't going anywhere.
Yeh, like I said, the Chinese, great bunch of lads.

Not talking about anybody owing anybody anything. Simply saying that those of us who live here long term, work here legally, pay taxes, support our families and the economy in general, not only in these dire times, but year after year, would like to be treated as "members of the community". We'd like to be treated equally and enjoy the same "privilages" the locals enjoy. As other members have pointed out, things like paying the local fare when entering national parks or not having to register our whereabouts every 90 days. A thorn in my side is that, despite a well paying job plus having all the documents, contracts, visas, etc., I am still, after 11 years here, treated like somebody who's going to do a runner. A case in point is applying for a cc. Simply too much hassle so I gave up.
I'm definitely not here for the lifestyle.
I got numerous CC's without any hassle, even through the company as a director.
KBank will give you a CC with 3-6 payslips and WP.
KTB need you to be working here for 2+ years before you are eligible.
Must have WP in either case. No experience with any other banks but KBank were incredibly easy to deal with, minimal paperwork and card came within days of application at the branch.

But please carry on with your China bashing.
I dare you to tell a Vietnamese that it was just a "border skirmish". There was a proper war and border skirmishes have continued into the 90's.
Invasion Of Manchukuo in 1945
Invasion Of China in 1949
Invasion Of Tibet in 1950
Invasion Of South and North Korea in 1950
Invasion Of India In 1962
Invasion Of The Soviet Union In 1969
Invasion Of Vietnam In 1979Yeh, they are good blokes the Chinese.

I would be very surprised if this were the case having extensive experience with ISO9001 in Thailand and being a qualified IRCA lead/QMS auditor myself.
Nor is holding ISO certification any guarantee against corruption or cheating.
Nor does ISO 9001 have anything to do with lottery drawing procedures, if indeed a Standard for this process actually exists, which I doubt.
This merely demonstrates these morons do not have a clue what they are talking about. Just more buffoonery.
"Oh, we are ISO 9001 certified so this cannot happen!"

Who would pay 120 No way
Vendors typically charge 10% on top of the 100thb ticket price so if you are buying 5 at 100thb per ticket they will charge you an additional 10% so 550thb.
The Thai logic being if you win you will win more with more tickets or so I was told by a local vendor here in Chonburi.

The chances of THAI selling any of their planes is close to zero in the current situation. The French government has recently listed some older (still airworthy) A340s at a starting price of just €80k each.
Wow.
My dream of opening a airliner coffee shop / theme restaurant in Thailand just came a bit closer to reality.

Stranger things can happen. Your expectations may be realised. Most likely a one-way trip for the A380 to a rice field to be left to rot in the sunshine whilst awaiting a purchaser.
Most of these big uneconomical lumps will turn into coffee shops and restaurants as has happened to several of the other Airbus wide bodies that were used by Thai.
The main thing is the accrual of further losses in terms of assets at an insolvent and heavily indebted airline.
With no miracles in sight and international travel in the doldrums Thai must be losing billions per month, on top of 350 billion thb debt.
It's merely a question of when to pull life support.

no wonder! tourism is a matter of death or life for thailand
I would think it had more to do with free food and drink at a top hotel at a time when people don't have much income rather than anything else.

If things are so bad maybe cut out the lavish sponsored meetings at top hotels?
And a Gmail email address? Tinpot.

They regard beeping the horn as an aggressive act, they lose face! But is is absolutely necessary for letting them know you are there and/or they are doing something stupid.
Comes back to that inability to take responsibility for one's actions...
