  1. Sorry I missed this part of the OP. So once you have all the documentation the process is simple enough; go in the morning, submit your documents and come back to collect the next afternoon. When I went there were no queues - straight in and out.
  2. I applied in Hanoi with no major issues. You need to show a flight booking into and out of Thailand. The fee is payable in USD. Finding anywhere to change money in Hanoi is extremely difficult; make sure you change up some notes before you leave.
  3. How long are you planning to stay for? You can extend for 30 days at immigration. If this is your first visa exempt entry you should be fine doing a border bounce; no need for an actual tourist visa unless you want the extra 15 days.
  4. Or just get a taxi...
  5. Well the shopkeeper won't have to worry about finding laundry tokens for a good while now.
  6. Closing times now are the same as they were pre-covid.
  7. Not last weekend, they weren't. And as for everybody criticizing the OP for being lazy; he'd just come out of a shopping mall. Perhaps he had lots of heavy bags? Or maybe he has mobility issues? But, no, let's have a dig at him for being lazy.
  8. He was referring to private pension plans. If that's true it's absolutely criminal that the government can impose suce a restriction; what does it even hope to achieve? Hopefully the next government will reverse that.
  9. No, but standard keyboard shortcuts work in Google Sheets for desktop browser as they do in Office 365 web and standalone applications. Maybe the intro had them disabled for security purposes?
  10. Office 365 is just the subscription-model of paying for office apps. Why would you have had to do without keyboard shortcuts? Also which keyboard shortcuts do you use in Excel that don't work in Google Sheets?
  11. The built-in features of Windows never seemed to work for me so I use an application called Spacedesk. On the laptop you want to use as you main screen computer, install Space Desk Server On the laptop you want to use as the second screen install and run spacedesk client. Your main laptop should name or ip address should show in the client software. Click the computer name/ip address and then you can use the second laptop as a screen for the main one. Unless you have some extremely exotic laptop this cannot be achieved in hardware, unless you use an additional usb HDMI capture device, but I don't know how well that would work.
  12. If it's way cheaper then it's probably a scam and you'll loose all your data. If it's a little cheaper then okay, but anything you dismantle will possibly be a one-way process (you may not be able to put the hard disk back in the box). However I'm pretty sure the WD drives don't have a SATA interface; I think they use a custom usb controller soldered to the board... maybe that's why they're a bit cheaper.
  13. Can't you use an internal drive with a USB enclosure?
  14. I find this attitude puzzling. Even in my late 30s my life has been through many different phases, some more energetic than others! I suppose if you've spent your whole life being "lively and full of energy" then it might be difficult to adapt. But why not at least be open to it and see if you can find new, less energetic ways, to stimulate yourself?

Thanks. I've never encountered it before. I assume the ร is not pronounced?

I would have thought ภรรยาที่ดี (pan-ra-ya tii dee) would translate to good wife. I suppose it means what exactly you mean by good, though.

  18. I have seen many stoned people, I have never seen one walk around naked.
  19. He was swimming... Not bearfist bear fighting. Most of whom can't swim??
  20. It was not unexpected that somebody would try and twist my words. Death is a fact of the world we live in. My post was an 100% objective commentary on the situation as it exists. Nothing more, nothing less. The people who grew older and voted for Brexit were generally looking through rose-tinted glasses at what they remember as the "good old days" before joining the EU, ignoring the fact that the world is a completely different place than it was back then. The people who will be the older generation when we next join will have lived having originally been a member of the single market, enjoying visa free, hassle free travel and all the financial benefits it brings. Then it was all taken away from them. Therefore the reverse will be true. I don't know if it'll take 5 years or 20, but eventually we'll rejoin, without all the special privileges we had the first time around. And the whole of the country will have to wonder what was it all for in the first place.
  21. And if you break it down by age group it gets way more interesting. The only demographic keeping Brexit remotely alive in public support are the 50+. They won't be around for ever...
  22. The same thing that happens if your wallet gets lost, stolen or forgotten at home; you can't have the product or service for which you wish to pay for.
