  1. Any local viewing options? I can't find anything via TrueVisions, AIS Play. Yes, I know there are other more ad hoc streaming options. There may end up being some here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Masters_2022/ Found this: https://birdie.in.th/en/blog/news/masters-tournament-2022-television-schedule-for-thailand-527?fbclid=IwAR0PP8K61kEmJEiksDsbrhkbEnj0MxGQ_a3hs9Wi5XhvUqe_uMsHMhLPabw
  2. Just north of 28,000 reviews on heir FB page. https://www.facebook.com/owndays.th/reviews/?ref=page_internal https://www.facebook.com/owndays.th/ Huge retail operation, with a strong track-record originating in Japan.
  3. I think sites are always updating their blacklists, access rules are probably detailed in your terms and conditions with them. Which banks/sites do you envision challenges? Do they currently geo-restrict access? I'd think that would be challenging as millions of people travel and expect to be able to access their accounts.
  4. There is a member here who is a BBL employee, they often chime in or request a PM. I did a quick search, came up empty though. Maybe you could give it a try?
  5. Is your Google storage at/near its limit? Do you use some exotic security programs? Are you able to receive other emails with attachments? Are you able to access gmail on a different device? If so can you view the attachment? Can you forward the email? The email address isn't whitelisted, obviously. You can still log in, check the status of an application, click on the recently approved item and view/download the associated Receipt of Notification PDF, right?
  6. Naming the sub HTMS Hopewell would probably not be a good idea? Suspect there will be high speed rail before a sub?
  7. You're referring to the approval email, and not the submittal email, right? The approval email... [TM.47] (PASSPORT NO : 0123456789) FORM FOR ALIEN TO NOTIFY OF STAYING LONGER THAN 90 DAYS HAS BEEN APPROVED Your application for "STAYING LONGER THAN 90 DAYS" has been approved. should have a next report date PDF slip attached, with a filename starting with your passport number.
  8. The stamp fee used to be 33 baht per check. Bangkok Bank says they still buy Travelers’ Cheques https://www.bangkokbank.com/en/Personal/Other-Services/Currency-Exchange/Notes-Drafts-TravelersCheques I think you get the TT buying rate. https://www.bangkokbank.com/en/Personal/Other-Services/View-Rates/Foreign-Exchange-Rates You can do your own comparison. I would think WISE would be better.
  9. So many things vary by office. When you ask for input here, it may be helpful to provide your office, and you need to factor that in to your actions. As always you need to check with your office to see what they require. Did you return to the exact same physical address?
  10. He won by a 0.4 % margin. Not exactly a "consensus". I'm in favor of local school boards managing curricula, rather than the state or the federal government. Seems like a side-show from the governor. On the plus side, HB 1557 doesn't use the word "Gay". ????
  11. I mean it is the subject of this thread. https://tm47.immigration.go.th/tm47/#/login Are you unable to get to this new site?
  12. I'd wait until ~ May 19 - June 2, to file a report on the new system. You have to enter your Arrival Date, so hopefully the reviewer verifies that and doesn't go off your previous new system 90 day report.
  13. TM30 24 hour after returning still? Yes, UNLESS you're returning to your previously TM30/Sec. 38 reported address. Regulation of Royal Thai Police on notification of a householder, owner or possessor of dwelling place or hotel manager, who takes in, as a resident, an alien permitted to temporary stay in the Kingdom. 2.2 After a householder, owner or possessor of dwelling place or hotel manager already made a notification according to 2.1, then the alien goes to occasionally stay somewhere else and return to stay at the original place within the notified period of stay that has not yet ended, such householder, owner or possessor of dwelling place or hotel manager is not required to make a notification again. Still some confusion re: "within the notified period of stay that has not yet ended". That is, is this somehow tied to the current permission to stay, and is it automatically extended when the permission to stay is extended. But that may have been clarified back in June/July 2020 when this letter was issued? 1663063533_TM30ReportingRegulation (1).pdf
  14. Ideally you want your own dedicated fixed-broadband fiber connection. Shared WiFi would be less than ideal. Broadband providers like AIS Fiber, 3BB and True Online also offer free and paid streaming packages. Again, what do you want to watch? What is your budget for content? Most new TVs support native casting, so just about any service can be streamed to/cast from your phone to your TV. Most new TV's have streaming apps built in. And finally, you can attach a dedicated streaming appliance (Chromecast, Firestick, Xiaomi Mi stick, Android box) to your TV. Many, many, many options.
  15. Relived the summer of 1969, somewhat by accident with... Kenneth Branagh's "Belfast" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ja3PPOnJQ2k and Questlove's Oscar-winning "Summer of Soul (...Or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised)" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-siC9cugqA Both amazing. Jude Hill stole the former, Nina Simone the latter. Feel like I should be watching a documentary on the Amazin' Mets and the Moon landing?
  16. Consider a second and third bank/finserv option: State Department Federal Credit Union (SDFCU), Fidelity, Schwab. Without an understanding of the card(s) details, maybe use some occasionally for gifts and services in the U.S. Make sure you have at least one, preferably two, cards which have no foreign transaction fee. https://www.nerdwallet.com/best/credit-cards/no-foreign-transaction-fee https://www.bankrate.com/finance/credit-cards/no-foreign-transaction-fees/ https://thepointsguy.com/credit-cards/no-foreign-transaction-fees/ Yeah this really isn't a thing anymore. Most banks/CC don't even have a mechanism anymore for documenting travel. Just make sure you download and use their app., and web portal. Set up alerts.
  17. Broadband internet. Ask neighbors/landlord what's available: True Online, AIS Fibre, 3BB. What do you want to watch?
  18. In interviews Gary Oldman has said that "Season 1" is actually 12 episodes, all of which are "in the can". And there may be more, plenty of source material.
  19. from the linked article.... The 650,000 baht worth of stolen money has not been recovered and no arrests have been made.
  20. Yeah we'll have spaceships, transporters and the Kra Isthmus Canal before a submarine plies the shallow waters of the gulf of thailand.
  21. Yeah, this happens a lot more than is revealed to the public. Often it's about debt collection. And it's the police, always the police.
  22. Watched the first two eps. Great story (so far) and an amazing cast. From the book series by Mick Herron.
