A little bit more about tariffs.
As the article says, it's uncertain. Actually, your explanation is the simplest one. Whether it's accurate or not awaits either an explicit explanation from the Trump administration or from when the tariffs are actually imposed.

Are U.S. expats shielded from the massive Trump Tariff Tax Raise on Americans?
I think the reason for that is the huge tax cuts on the wealthy. There's all this money sitting around and only so much can be usefully invested. EWhich also explains the popularity of crypto and the fantastic runup in luxury real estate and art prices.

A little bit more about tariffs.
Border-Crossings Accumulation Automobiles and their parts rarely cross the U.S. border once. Parts like engines, transmissions, or other automotive components potentially crossing the U.S.-Canada and U.S.-Mexico borders up to seven or eight times before being assembled into a finished vehicle. It is unclear whether the proposed 25 percent tariffs by Trump would apply to each component every time it crosses the U.S. border or only once. If the former scenario is true, then the tariff’s accumulation would exacerbate burdens on consumers and businesses alike. https://www.csis.org/analysis/stacking-effect-trump-administrations-auto-tariffs

The left wants to destroy the Greatest country on Earth.
I don't think most of the did. They supported the US invasion of Afghanistan. Or rather wanted to. Cheney and friends rather rudely dismissed their offers of support. But when the US decided to pivot to Iraq, most of them didn't go along. Oddly enough, they weren't convinced that Saddam Hussein was in league with Al Qaeda.

Trump’s Tariff Strategy: US can no longer act as the world's economic shock absorber
Geologists would disagree: Great Britain lies on the European continental shelf, part of the Eurasian Plate and off the north-west coast of continental Europe, separated from this European mainland by the North Sea and by the English Channel, which narrows to 34 km (18 nmi; 21 mi) at the Straits of Dover. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Britain That would go for Northern Ireland, too Ireland is an island in Northern Europe, in the north Atlantic Ocean. The island measures about 480 km (300 mi) north-south, and 275 km (171 mi) east-west, with a total area of 84,421 km2 (32,595 sq mi). It lies about 53°N 8°W, near the western edge of the European continental shelf, part of the Eurasian Plate. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geography_of_Ireland In fact, during periods of high glaciation, the area between what is now Great Britain, NW Germany and Jutland were connected by what is called Doggerland. It disappeared under the seas about 8000 years ago. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doggerland

You want Here's 2 of your talking points. Both of which are invalid. There's nothing reciprocal about those tariffs. They weren't computed on the basis of reciprocity. Tariffs rates are mostly very low among developed nations. And Trump actually imposed tariffs of 10% on countries with which the US has a trade surplus.

Countries Targeted by Trump’s Tariffs May Strike Back at U.S. Services
This has got to be one of the most economically clueless comments I have ever read. You think economic attractiveness depends on some kind of charisma? That economic barriers don't count? That exporters will be leaping over the high walls created by tariffs because US consumers are just so hot?

Third Reich is upon you!
Oh the irony. You raise the issues, and somehow it's all about me. Figures you would try to make it personal. And that's because you've got nothing.

false: Tariffs imposed by Thailand in 2022 are below. The maximum rate of tariff in percentage on any product is 218.72. The simple average tariff across all products is 8.34. The trade weighted average tariff is 3.79. The total duty free imports in thousands of US dollars are 207,876,066.64 and duty free tariff line items share is 40.89. https://wits.worldbank.org/CountrySnapshot/en/THA/textview

Third Reich is upon you!
Doesn't Judeo-Christian morality condemn sexual relations outside of marriage? All heated about about that, too, are you? And hasn't there been a surge of interest in a certain orifice among straight people that allegedly used to solely a source of interest to the gay community? And, of course, straight people never get kinky. As for biology, bonobos and chimps are the 2 species closest relatives to human beings.from an evolutionary standpoint: Nature’s Rainbow: Same-sex Behavior in Animals "Bonobos are arguably the animal best known for SSSB. The most common SSSB observed in bonobos is female genito-genital rubbing. Males engage in mounting, penis fencing, and rump and scrotum rubbing. Oral sex, tongue kissing, and genital massaging have also been documented." https://www.bonobos.org/post/same-sex-behavior-in-animals

will you boycott tesla because you hate trump?
How do you know he's doing awesome work? Who are the fraudsters he's exposed? Independent vetting of his claims has revealed huge errors and unsubstantiated allegations on his part?

People who go around accusing Trump critics of unhinged hate are actually the unhinged ones.

False. Experts outside the FBI weren't allowed to examine it. All that was offered was a printout of the texts.

He could not be there permanently and still get sacked. He could be dumped before it was felt he had completed his task. Well, whether he gets dumped or not, it will be played as him leaving voluntarily.

China doesn't price phones at all. Neither do manufacturers in China who assemble phones for other companies. One of those other companies is Apple.

China will impose a 34% tariff on all imports from the US starting April 10
Prices wouldn't be 34% higher on all goods that were imported. Maybe they would be that or close to that on finished goods that were delivered to the US. But a lot of the stuff from China consist of inputs like parts in raw materials. So in those cases it really depends on how much of the value of the finished product comes from those raw materials or parts. Trying to could of course deny US access to some of those raw materials like rare earth elements. I believe it also dominates in the supply of antimony which is essential for manufacturing high explosives.
