And this for an unneeded mode of transport.
There are many other things needing a fast track, like traffic.
-
Braces, in Thailand at least, are mostly a kind of fashion statement, a sort of financial showoff, mostly not needed at all.
Like spectacles, the bigger the better.

The biggest offence here is the using of bad words. Murder? Meh. Bad words? You've shamed someone!
Taxi drivers are a public service. They should have change. She didn't hand over 1000 baht, It was 100. At the very least the driver should have 40 baht change. It's just the usual zero planning and zero care again. Always the customer's fault 'cos apparently customers should more professional in Thailand.
He expected a 40-baht tip.
Probably.

Land of fakes! third world standards. When you can send drugs, weapons, through the post
Arms can be send by mail in most countries!
And you would be surprised how many drugs follow the same method, also in many countries.
I gather this slur on Thailand is not fair.

For 18 she is way overweight a poor example for teens.
Is having a gob filled with braces and rubberbands stylish now?
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkOverweight?
You must like the ultra skinny ones.
Those are most certainly a very bad example
She looks exactly like a ......woman.
And a gob filled with braces and elastic bands indeed is a fashion statement, just like way to big glasses.
The PM should get agitated about the awful tattoos on women, or men.

That is such a sad story.
If health and safety was/is an issue in this county, then possibly the death of such a young person may not have happened plus the deaths of countless others!
Life seems very cheap here.
R.I.P
Sent from my iPad using Thaivisa ConnectA sad story, indeed.
Health and safety regulations will always be second to profit maximalisation.
Anywhere in the wide world.

Didn't the Republican Ron Paul say that the US has military personal in 130 countries and has 900 overseas bases?
First thing that comes up on Google is:
'The main sources of information on these military installations (e.g. C. Johnson, the NATO Watch Committee, the International Network for the Abolition of Foreign Military Bases) reveal that the US operates and/or controls between 700 and 800 military bases Worldwide'.
Correct me if it is wrong....but where did you get 38 from? Nearly every single quick search says around the 700-800 mark. I couldn't care to go into a deep enough search to find 38, as it seemed far too difficult lol.
Even 38 bases means America cannot complain about another country moving in anywhere.
So yes, it is paranoia of another country taking over the world (rather than the US having it). Personally, coming from Australia, i would prefer to be with China anyway. Greater business/trade opportunities. Not being involved in unjustified wars that makes us a terrorist threat...just so we can put some of these bases down lol. I would prefer America if they actually stood by their beliefs. As an Australian you prefer to be with China and the Chinese?
Because they, opposed to the US are examples of friendliness, honesty, reliability etc, etc, etc?
Really?
Like what they are doing in the seaways?
Maybe you should find some info about Chinese business in Africa?

Let's just say that China doesn't do anything out the goodness of it's
hearts, everything they do or give, has an agenda to it and strings attached,
so it's not even a Trojan horse, they go about it quite openly...
But it is a Trojan horse.

The photo seems to be showing a source of the problem. Why are they feeding them?
Monkeys are disgusting and often dangerous. I would rather have a rat or soi dog infestation than monkeys.
Of course they will be protected and nothing will be done.
Right!
Monkeys on roofs and power cables, stealing food and fabricating power outages.
On street level rabid soi dogs happily biting people.
And below that free running rats, and huge stinking insects.
All part of the "smile, this is Thailand" experience.
Personally, this diminished my list of places to visit.
And I am sorry for that.

Not the sort of work most military men are involved in, but hard to argue against the result.
I bet the cops love to see the army doing the job of the police
I have heard, and of course have no idea if this might be true, there is no love lost between the RTP and the RTA.
So one might presume the police don't really like the army interfering into what is clearly their side of the fence.
On the other hand, maybe this cooperation is just the medicine needed.

I have no real feeling of being unsafe here compared to my hometown Gouda where the imported minority succeeded in destroying safety.
However, instead of this reaction from authorities it would have been better to try to better the situation.

exactly, the taxi mafia in Pattaya have been taking the piss for a very long time, there is nothing wrong with healthy competition - something these scam artists are going to have to deal with going forward and the sooner the better.
Price fixing is a big issue in Thailand especially in places like Pattaya, greed and control rules over common sense which is why walking these days is just that - people walking
I am definitely not happy with the taxi-service in Thailand.
Too much no meter, too much wrong.
That said, I am well aware that many drivers make long days for a crappy reward.
And of course their contributions to many don't really help.
A unreal "taxi" service like Uber is not a good thing for the real taxi's.
It really cuts into their earnings.
Competition in the taxi branche is only possible by cutting the earnings of drivers.
People deserve honest wages.
-
Reading the news about various airlines from all over the world, I think the customers are readied for a worldwide hefty price raise.

The "relief" from the 90 km/h limit the van pilots want, borders on the insanely criminal.
The 90 km/h limit should be enforced to the max, all those vans should have a speed restrictor.
Besides, if any van drives too fast, impound the van for three months, lock up the driver for at least three months, take away his driving license, and fine the owner of the van for 100,000 baht.
-
The only solution is a bus station with it's own connection to city rail and a very good connection to outgoing roads.
It might help congestion on Thailand's roads if long distance rail transport would be promoted in every conceivable way.

I assume "inappropriate content" is the truth about how the this country is governed now.
I wonder why a lot of people always moan about the loss of freedom, internet wise, in Thailand.
All I can ask those wondering if they have looked into what is going on, internet wise, in their own countries?
Also in the Western world more and more governments are trying to curb the internet, and succeeding.
Splashing huge fines onto Facebook, Google and others is also a way to curb providers often used by governments.

As if non governmental services are that good?
As far as I know all de-nationalised railways are doing worse and are more expensive as their forebears.
But....As one may believe the company liars, it is all cheaper, faster, better.
