  1. Lots of "quarter " wits in the US of A.
  2. I always felt more at home in women's spaces. So all I have to do nowadays, is to say that I identify as a woman, and this space opens up. Brilliant. Gives you license to be a dirty old man.
  3. Almost always takes much longer than paying cash in Vietnam.
  4. I have tried various edibles . cookies, candy, brownies ,from light to the most potent stuff, never felt anything. On the other hand, smoke half a joint and I am high after a minute or two, but gets me coughing. So would prefer something that I don't have to smoke . are oils better than the baked stuff. I have never tried oil.
  5. The mail order bride making a little bit cash on the side. Guess, with her fading looks, she can't reenter the dating market. Why anyone would pay to hear that nincompoop talk, is beyond me. Is she going to complain about the stupid Christmas. Or give married women advice on how to refuse their cadaverous husbands carnal relations.
  6. Why did you wait so long? Cataract is not something you get overnight. Sight gradually deteriorates over years.
  7. I must have missed the 0.1 %. Must have been on another forum? Nude Africa.com maybe.
  8. Yes, the Belgian should be deported to Pattaya. His conduct is totally normal there, other than that in Thailland's premier seaside resort it's Brits and Russians ,and they don't keep their underwear on.
  9. The girls happen to hang around beaches.
  10. If it's just filling(or root canal , crown), Vietnam is way cheaper than Thailand. Fillings usually under 500 Baht I had root canals down here for under 1000 Baht Crowns start at a 2000 Baht. The only problem here dentists often don't speak English. I
  11. Technically it may very well be rum, but it tastes more like cheap whiskey, not like for example Tanduay, the cheap rum in the Philippines.
  12. Nothing other than death, is solving all your problems. A strong placebo effect is present in all psychiatric treatment. Randomized double blind trials would be needed to sort out how much of it is Placebo.
  13. Sort of ,one step forward, two steps back. I enjoyed the 2 years of the forward step. With the Shinawatras, of course, it's always back ,at least in the fun department.
  14. That incident is so Thai. After a verbal altercation, the crowd disperses, and there is always/often one guy who can't let go, because of perceived loss of face, returns to regain face, and it escalates rapidly. In a country that is proudly Buddhist, whose main maxim is letting go.
  15. I recommend Mekong whiskey, much better. You immediately feel your brain glowing up.it feels like it's growing, too. The 4% elephant piss is not gonna do that. That fellow from Scotland. Johnnie Walker,is pretty good too.
  16. Are there any clinics, hospitals in Thailand that make these drugs/treatments available to patients suffering from depression /anxiety in Thailand? Several studies have shown that psychedelics can bring an immediate and significant improvement in these conditions, in marked contrast to the SSRI ,which take time to work, if they work at all , and which you have to take indefinitely. Even in the west they are still kind of experimental, but more and more psychiatrists are coming around, and see these drugs as the future. As the cannabis legalization has shown, sometimes Thailand is at the forefront of novel approaches.
  17. One airline you definitely want to avoid when traveling with a bicycle is Turkish airline. Happened to a friend flying from Europe to Vietnam. Paid the sports equipment fee of 150 € 75 per leg, At the airport they told him the fee had just doubled .He had no choice but to pay an additional 150, or they would have refused to check in the bike. 4 weeks later, he arrived back home, but his bicycle did not. Was told that it was still in Istanbul. After 4 days calling Turkish Airline numerous times, the bicycle was finally dropped at his doorstep, totally wrecked. Turkish refused to pay compensation. Months later, he has hired a lawyer and gone the legal route. The lawyer is probably gonna cost him more than the cost of the bike, but he is mad as hell.
  18. I remember an exchange rate of 21 Baht to the$ in the eighties, no fluctuations back then ,as the Baht was pegged to the $, similar to what it is today in Cambodia, where the dollar has been around 4000 Riel for over 20 years.
  19. Probably depends on the size of the folding bike. Some of them fit into what from the outside looks like average sized suitcase.
  20. I flew Thai from Saigon to Bangkok a couple of years ago ,bicycle didn't cost me anything extra, was counted towards my luggage allowance. That was the last time I got away without boxing it up. Not many airlines left that do not require a box.
  21. The question is ,can you suffer from dementia when you never had much in the form of cognitive abilities to start with. What can lose when you have nothing?
  22. Honest question:What is your IQ ? Don't say higher than yours.I am willing to bet a tidy sum that it isn't.
  23. No, she will be arrested for playing bridge with her friends.
  24. You actually listened to 9 minutes of that drivel.I gave up after 1 minute of whatever that was.
  25. WHAT AVAILABLE RESTROOMS ??? They must be well hidden. I often do this ,because, other then peeing your pants or paying for one of these rip off beer bar toilets, that's the only option. It's a pee in the ocean ,literally.
