No. Thai PR holders have to obtain re entry permit + an endorsement in their alien book. This can be accomplished only at an Immigration Office before departing, not at airports or land borders.

@onthemoon I thought so. The software sees the 13-digit number and mistakenly "thinks" that I am Thai. The software people may have never heard of foreigners having 13-digit ID numbers. - Correct But now my other question comes up again: How do you transfer money home once you have your Thai citizenship? In my case ,my Thai wife transfers to my account abroad- never a problem If you are unmarried or have a non Thai wife- Not sure but did you try Western Union ?
