Citizenship & Permanent Residency
DrJoy replied to KUGS's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Mike you can open your own company, if PR is what you desire. -
I have no idea if a Spanish Court order will be accepted by the District Office. Since Thailand is not a member of the Apostile Convention. If its in Spanish, it has to be translated to English first and then Thai, then it has to be attested by your Embassy in Bangkok. After that it has to be further attested by the Thai M.F.A. in Chaengwattana, Bangkok. Then the document can be used in Thailand.

Citizenship & Permanent Residency
DrJoy replied to KUGS's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
There is an excellent thread about Thai citizenship, post your concerns there. @KUGS https://aseannow.com/topic/121353-story-of-my-thai-citizenship-application/page/270/ -
I assume that you have a Thai Court order granting you child custody, In that case the copy of the court order will suffice for her absence, not an issue. Carry - Birth Cert Tabien Baan copy Thai Court order granting you sole custody

Story Of My Thai Citizenship Application

You will not be informed if HMK has signed your application or not. You will be called for oath. Getting invited for oath means your application has been counter-signed by His Excellency. -

Son with thai and EU passport??
DrJoy replied to beammeup's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
That is up to your daughter to break the law. Using other nationality is a ground for cancellation of Thai citizenship. Its the Thai law - THAI NATIONALITY ACT, B.E. 2508 (1965) Section 17 - A person, who hold Thai nationality by birth in the Kingdom of Thailand and has an alien father or mother, may be revoked of his or her Thai nationality, if it appears that: (1) he or she resides in a foreign country, where his or her father or mother has or used to have nationality, for a consecutive period of more than five years; (2) there is evidence indicating that he or she uses the nationality of his or her father or mother or other nationality, or has inclined towards the nationality of his or her father or mother, or other nationality; (3) having committed any act prejudicial to the national security or conflicting with the interests of the State or amounting to an insult to the nation; (4) having committed any act in contrary to the public order or good morals. The Minister shall order the revocation of Thai nationality in cases of (1) or (2) in the Court, upon request from Public Prosecutor. Ok sorry, may not be illegal but certainly a ground for cancellation of Thai citizenship. -
Bangkok Bank and SCB apps access on new phone
DrJoy replied to jimn's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
It has to be the same number updated in the Banks records. For 1st time activation in a new phone, Mobile data must be used, wifi not allowed -
Wrong. A Thai Passport is issued only if you are in a Blue Tabien Baan. As OPs daughter has already held a Thai PP, she must be registered in a Blue Tabien Baan at the time of issuance of the Thai PP.

I have read it. You have to register your marriage here, its not an option that you have. I have given you correct advice, you may choose to follow or not, each on its own then

Utter rubbish. When I married my Thai wife in Bangkok ( Chatuchak Dist Office) they changed her name then and there. She was provided with a certificate as evidence and got a new Thai id card reflecting her new name. However, they have mentioned She has requested to change her surname to Mrs. Joy owing to marriage. So I think you will need to register your marriage here in Thailand. Note - She can change name only in the district office where she is registered

How to get a Yellow House Book ?
DrJoy replied to bondjames007's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
No. Yellow book confirms that you live there, it does not make you the owner/possessor. Consider it as an address proof, nothing else
