1. His Embassy in Bkk will attest his Aussie M.C. and his Passport Photo Page 2. Both have to be translated to Thai by a certified translator 3.Further attestation by Thai MFA 4. Take appointment at the District Office for registering foreign marriage. 5. You will get a Kor Ror 22 (from the district office) if successfully registered

Its because of the new Anti Money Laundering Laws. If your visa says tourist, cannot get an account. Keep on trying , visit different branches -

But the retirees are not so lucky, basically their 800k baht is locked. They can withdraw half but need to top up to 800k before renewal comes up. Thats a huge sum of money to lock up forever and get interest rate of 0.5% ???? -

Online account opening is only for Thai national holding a Thai ID card. Further, they need to be registered with NDID as well. -

Where ever I have been asked about my Nationality be it in parks, museums etc. I always get the Thai rate with my ID card. After I show them my ID card no questions asked, no arguments. I am yet to encounter any racial discrimination as you claim. YMMV -

You will have to clear the loan first, then you will get an N.O.C to sell the car from Krungsri Bank. I have done this previously, so thats my experience. YMMV -
