  1. This geeza? Don't be so hard on yourself. you're probably not much uglier than the rest of us.
  2. No reason for a private company to interact with someone who it has banned, is there?
  3. Just in case what? The mainstream retail banks won't go down that route, but, so what if they did, they're private businesses, it would be their prerogative to do so
  4. "Mule" accounts, not "mute" accounts. A mule account is an account opened by an individual who is paid to do so, the passbook and card for which is then passed on to a third party for, usually, nefarious use. Your accounts are neither "mute" nor "mule".
  5. There was no suggestion that the regulations are to make it more difficult for foreigners to open bank account, or that they will.
  6. Don't zig-zag, keep walking straight, make them zig-zag...why should they be allowed to inconvenience you, non-Indians make the rules, right?
  7. BBL does not operate retail banking facilities from it's London office.
  8. How would she transfer funds from her BBL account to her Wise account?
  9. It's not specifically a reserved occupation, but only Thai nationals can register cannabis businesses and to be legal they have to be registered.
  10. can you guarantee that? I can guarantee that if he is not in Thailand he cannot be arrested by Thai authorities and I can guarantee that the illegal cannabis shop owners are in Thailand.
  11. Po TAY to, po TAH to. C'mon, you're just being pedantic and looking for an argument. You know exactly what I meant. No, I was not. There have been reports of non-"farang" foreigners - Asians - being illegally-involved in these businesses and Anutin's remarks were not aimed at "farangs". If I had wanted to be pedantic I'd ask who the fck says "po-TAH-to. Isn't the usual comparison, "tuh-MAY-tow, toh-MAH-tow"?
  12. That is not the issue, the OP is about foreigners illegally running these businesses.
  13. First off, you should have read the OP, he is referring to cannabis shops that are illegally owned by foreigners, not those legally-owned by Thais.
  14. Vorayuth is not in this country so he cannot be arrested, the illegal foreign cannabis shop operators are.
  15. He did not make the "farang" restriction, he referred to all "foreigners".
  16. Illegal foreign owners of weed shops do not keep Thailand afloat and those are the only ones that he was referring to, the illegal operators.
  17. Yes, and weed shops can only be legally owned by Thai nationals, not foreigners, that's why he said that they should be arrested!
  18. "Deputy Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul orders the arrest of foreigners operating cannabis outlets illegally in Thailand". He is not "having a pop at dirty farangs", he is emphasing the law that restricts ownership of cannabis-related businesses to Thai nationals; those that you allege are being "popped at" are operating illegally.
  19. Perhaps you should retire from the thread, you are looking rather stupid....... Hear, hear, although I'd suggest that "spectacularly" would be a better word then "rather"!
  20. Really? The news media is restricted on what it can publish? Royal family excepted, such as what?
  21. OK where? Here, for example when it was first reported, and in other media outlets.
