  1. Why all the comments about drinks preferences on a, clearly, music-related thread?
  2. Distasteful that i have to agree with you, but there you go.
  3. That depends on the tone and the context. I can (but I don't) refer to you as a farang, that, on it's own, doesn't make it a racist slur.
  4. He did what was described in the OP, try watching the video that shows his vehicle again.
  5. Bearing in mind the typical tints on the vehicle, it is likely that no one knew the ethnicity of the driver until he was traced, so not targetted.
  6. Safe to assume the police weren't at the location to ticket him so they would have had to trace the vehicle/owner to his home and process him at the station. As soon as that is completed he is free to go...perfectly normal. He didn't get banged up.
  7. Only is if is illegal to refer to someone as "fat", but it isn't.
  8. I find that in poor taste. She was working in the UK instead of sat on her bum gambling or up to mischief, which is common amongst Thais when they don't have enough to occupy their minds. ".I find that in poor taste ... sat on her bum gambling or up to mischief, which is common amongst Thais". That is not only in poor taste, but also screamingly hypocritical!
  9. Her family may not be the same as yours would be in this situation.
  10. It does not "happen every day on social media" in Thailand and there are plenty of reports of similar instances in other countries if you bother to look. Thailand is not a "Tourism Desperate place" [sic], what ever that is supposed to mean.
  11. Notwithstanding your original comment, there is nothing pedantic about that now, it is a perfectly rational understanding of the OP.
  12. Considering that he couldn't get bail before the conviction, that is extremely doubtful.
  13. Probably? What other options do you think there are...foreigner-only prisons?
  14. Wonder no more... "the fourth defendant who is the prime suspect which is a foreigner was sentenced in total to 1,073 years of imprisonment for the charges".
  15. Tourism numbers are increasing each year despite the inaccuracies you churn out.
  16. In general, around 90% of all insurance claims are met. All claims are vetted and the only claims that can be denied are those that do not comply with the policy conditions or fraudulent claims. Having years of experience in the industry, I doubt the veracity of your specific description of her job.
  17. Yes, policy had no age limit when it was taken out. That wasn't my question. Did the insurer guarantee renewal of cover regardless of age? If you claim that it did, it'll be interesting to know which insurer it was...and, yes, you can mention the name.
