  1. You can give them an address to suit their rules, they don't check whether it is still valid or not, or if they do, they don't care.
  2. I have a (Thai) Wise account, I also have a UK passport.
  3. "Welcome to America". Nothing to do with Trump's actions.
  4. "No" to all of that nonsensical fear-mongering. All Wise wants is an address for you as required by US regulations, not by Wise. Give Wise that and all would be sorted. There is no rational reasoning that living or retiring overseas is to be prohibited. Obviously. If you're a sole US citizen, your citizenship cannot be "cancelled". Obviously. The "powers involved" have done nothing that could remotely be called "quite disturbing".
  5. He specifically said "Thai laws don't stand up in NZ, so probably won't in England" That's a comparison of Thai and UK law!
  6. ...or, more likely, it suggests that they do not yet know conclusively
  7. There are frequently updates to incidents such as these.
  8. Yes, another kind of popular business. You're not paying for any insurance but get it multiple times back by fundraising. So?
  9. "Cue". Congratulations. Haha.
  10. You're saying that he wasn't?
  11. Why does everyone bitch about these? Nobody is forced to donate to these fund raisers. Well said.
  12. His estate could claim.
  13. ....'ere we go again There you go again. What about it?
  14. So what? It is not directed at anyone, nor involves anyone, who disapproves of the concept.
  15. Very high possibility that it was financed and had little equity.
  16. Did I say there was?? The thinly-veiled suggestion certainly was there.
  17. I see. You would carry on paying somebody that you split up with. That is extremely generous of you. Where was it reported that, apart from geographically, they had "split up" their relationship?
  18. Wow, up until this comment, I was agreeing with you... even so, this comment is correct... BUT, irrelevant, as he was comparing NZ and UK law... NOT thai law. He specifically compared Thai and UK law.
  19. If this driver was part of other tuk tuk drivers committing or threatening violence against farangs then he deserved what he got, if he wasn't then no, he did not deserve it. And there was no suggestion anywhere that he was part of any attacks.
  20. When did this driver "beat the crap out of" anyone?
  21. What did this driver do to deserve the assault?
  22. She lucky that she didn't appoint any of the, obviously highly knowledgeable, AN legal eagles to represent her!
  23. Thai law does not come into this, the case is being brought under UK law!
