  1. I do hope that you are not condoning overstay - or other illegal activities................................ Did I say that I condone them? But, regardless of whether I do or do not, why would you hope that I, in particular, would not condone them when there have been so many other posters in various threads recently fully supporting overstayers and calling out IB officers for doing their job that you have not expressed your hopes about similarly?
  2. He'd go to hospital, then it would be up to the hospital staff. Under Thai law hospitals cannot refuse treatment to anyone for the first 72 hours of emergency care.
  3. Is it just the Immigration law transgressors that you'd selectively report or those who break any laws here? Have you ever broken any Thai law, however minor, or taken advantage of lax law enforcement in any way, since you've been here?
  4. How would you ever justify sticking your nose into his business by reporting him to Immigration apart from the pointless and vindictive "if I have to do it he should also" attitude?
  5. The locals could only know that if the passport holder made it common knowledge. Why the slur on the locals ("grassed up by"...) when it would be the expired visa/passport holder who actually deserved your derision?
  6. Same here in 28 years, apart from one traffic stop. It may have been different, though, if I (or your good self), had been on overstay! Sod's Law.
  7. Any previous proven incidents that back your assertion or is it just barstool hearsay and speculation that the police routinely steal seized assets?
  8. After they have been auctioned and that's only after the assets have not been proven to have been legally acquired.
  9. Can you use a phone? 02 018 0000. You'll need to know how to click the correct option, though.
  10. Not likely if you've been told that TP would be handling this part of the delivery.
  11. I had a phone call from the Thailand Post office for my area yesterday (they used to send a notice by post), told me that a parcel from Japan was there and there was B1,020 duty to pay. Has to be paid in cash and I took it home with me.
  12. Only if you disregard the report that it was the solar cells that combusted!
  13. An inane assertion posted by someone who knows nothing about the business. The insurance industry is highly regulated and if it was a scam wouldn't still be around. Somewhere in the region of 90% of all insurance claims are paid out to the claimants/policy holders, and when you need it, you'll find that it isn't a scam
  14. Let me guess, you are an insurance agent! I was in the insurance and associated business and was a broker for a few years.
  15. It said solar cells, could that be different from solar panels...I've no idea, you may have?
  16. The rest of the world wants to go electric, what could possibly go wrong?
  17. Did it in my day. Used to live in a hole in the road or a shoebox.???????? You didn't do any international maritime trips, then, unless that shoebox was in Belgravia!
  18. Any time you've handed your passport over for a bank transaction it's been checked, they don't tell you that, though.
  19. The other link specifically states that she was the pasenger.
  20. What century are you living in?! Regardless of that, how is travelling on a boat for weeks with broken back vertebrae going to be any less difficult than flying?
  21. Due to other female company, he told her to leave and gave her B1,000. He then changed his mind and asked her to stay but she'd then already booked another customer. He lost his temper then and put the boot in. The link explains it quite clearly.
  22. I read about bruises and blood dripping from her face. I read about her refusing to stay after other women left. If you are saying that excuses what the guy did, it puts you in the same category of low-life. He didn't say that.
  23. Does he want to register for military service, i.e. join up, or is he actually taking his chances and just waiting for the draw? If he volunteers, as opposed to being drafted, he'll serve less time.
