  1. I support this and signed a few weeks ago when this thread was brought up but "At 10,000 signatures the government will respond". means nothing apart from maybe "Thanks, your petition is acknowledged". It's the 100,000 signature mark that counts, only at that stage will the petition be debated in parliament.
  2. If you get a response to an email in English! They have English-speaking staff who pick up the phone.
  3. So, now i have to find what can of import duty is applied on such product. thank you to confirm for the 7%. Try this...https://www.simplyduty.com/import-calculator/ If you can find out the HS Code for the product that makes it more accurate. The example that I've just checked showed an import duty rate of 10% plus 7% VAT.
  4. Call the Customs Dept., there are English-speaking in the call centre... Customs Care Center at Tel. 1164 The Customs Department, 1, Suntorn Kosa Road, Klong Toey, Bangkok, 10110 E-mail : [email protected] Call Center : 1164 (02 667-7767)
  5. Depends what the item is, its value and where and when it was purchased. A tourist arriving from, say, Hong Kong with a new Rolex or an apparently new "DJ's thing" would not be exempt from import duty and VAT being assessed.
  6. VAT on products purchased in Thailand is 7%. There are no other taxes payable on such items. Items personally imported into Thailand and declared (or discovered) may be charged import duty. 7% VAT is charged on its value plus any import duty.
  7. You didn't offend me but you did make an assumption after having a go at me for making an assumption that turned out to not be an assumption!
  8. Ok, so the house and land are both in her name, just as you originally stated and what you described as my "assumption" wasn't an assumption, it was an accurate reading of your post. Thanks for the clarification, hope you get the advice that you need.
  9. "Im from liverpool too..." What makes you think that I'm from Liverpool, never mind the same one as you? There are some anomalies in your thread that don't easily add up, such as the ownership of her land and house that makes giving accurate advice difficult so don't be giving me down the banks for asking about them on a forum that invites discussion.
  10. Overseas as well Really? Which Virgin Money accounts are available for non-UK residents?
  11. No your assumption is wide of the mark. I bought and paid for my home, it was ours, not hers but she fandangled her way to trying to assume control of everything. I prevened her from doing so with the video evidence against her You posted this earlier..."my home and the land is in her name". How have you mangaed to get your name, not hers, on the land and the home docs, then, if your previous post is not correct?
  12. so use the HANDBRAKE gently !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you must have degree in brake fade Use the handbrake which operates on the same fading brakes? Great idea. I'd guess that you don't have "a degree in brake fade", either.
  13. In short, what he wants is to be separated, live in her property but not allow her access to her house and land.
  14. How could you be "forced to sell" property that your wife owns? It's not yours to sell.
  15. What medication was prescribed that stops the smell of cattle? How did the location and odour of the cow shed cause you "breathing problems" or do you just mean that you don't care for the smell?
  16. So why don't you do that instead of just posting here that you "feel like it"?
  17. Brake fade, which causes the brakes to become ineffective, is not uncommon on hill descents such as the one reported in the OP. Fade can be interpreted by the driver as brake failure, it is not "a complete lie by Thais".
  18. Police stations are not provided with enough budget and/or vehicles by the government to patrol the roads effectively.
  19. There's someone condoning the rape of minors. Jesus....
  20. I believe those are painted blue and white. Those also but they weren't conversions. The vast majority of buses in Bangkok have been LPG/NGV-fuelled for years now.
