  1. The article specifically states that the children were with an adult at the time.
  2. "I'm a beer swilling, fat, bald old guy that never wears anything but a knock off..." You mean that your avatar isn't you? That's disappointing.
  3. Perhaps because the driver was dead behind the wheel and the two injured female passengers either, did not know how to, or weren't physically capable of stopping the car?
  4. I agree but his obvious residency here, not the US as he has informed them, could be a problem for some card issuers. At card renewal time they could refuse to issue a new card but the only way for him to find out would be to ask his card issuer and that would risk giving the game away. The alternative is to rely on speculation from anonymous people who know nothing about him or his situation with his card provider.
  5. And, just as (in)accurately, as everything Australian, Qantas stole the idea from Lufthansa, who, like everything German stole the idea from...etc.
  6. Considering that their financial restructuring has been public knowledge for a long time, you think that is a surprise?
  7. thanks, so it's about $1k on average. Er, not exactly. A lot depends on how long you want it to last, I wouldn't have any faith in a full body, bare metal job that cost B47.5k!
  8. Obviously, your friend is as old as that lame joke and has no idea that current Skodas are Volkswagens nor that those Skodas won their class in the RAC Rally for 17 years on the run.
  9. That's why most people use well-reputed agents that they are familiar with or have been recommended by non-anonymous people!
  10. Some agents do require the passbook and ATM card/PIN in order for the IO to withdraw his funds that he transferred in. In that situation the account should be emptied beforehand so the only money that can be accessed is the IOs. The PIN should, obviously, be changed after the transaction. Getting a new ATM card is a worthwhile protection after getting the extension also. Many people have accounts that are kept open with the minimum balance/transactions solely for the purpose of IO transactions so they risk losing nothing.
  11. One could be B30,000, the other should be B300,000+.
  12. Depends what you mean. Bare metal respray, quick blowover to try to fool prospective buyers, full body including the parts that are not normally seen? You need to be more specific.
  13. But you said (indirectly) that you were speeding, while overtaking on a wet road.
  14. Your dash cam footage would be good support for your, slightly holey, case, though!
  15. I got my cardboard Thai licence in the 90's also, backed by a 1969-issued UK paper licence that was acceptable without a problem. No driving test had to be done.
  16. Or because the OP was speeding and performing an ill-advised overtaking manoeuvre in wet conditions!
  17. It's a pity that the motorcyclist hasn't been able to give his side of this. clearly inaccurate, OP. Did he really dangerously pull out in front of the OP whose brakes did not actually lock up, was the OP travelling over the speed limit in wet conditions as seems to be the case and perhaps performing an unwise overtaking manoeuvre for the conditions? All will be revealed when the OP posts his cam footage.
  18. But he didn't say that! He also admitted that he was speeding, as it now turns out. Perhaps he's not as perfect as he clearly wants us and the motorcyclist to think. Maybe if he wasn't exceeding the speed limit the situation wouldn't have happened at all?
  19. "Lock-up" was just a specific term you used to completely mischaracterise what actually happened, then. You did not lock the brakes at all. Did you also mischaracterise your speed that exceeded the speed limit? Is there anything else that is not accurate in your OP?
