(Speaker) Johnson added that Congress must pass the package by July 4, especially given the mid-July "deadline" to address the debt limit to avoid a default.

So if the person who yelled out from the audience was a local Democratic, maybe he was a shill but not a paid outside shill, or in the now common parlance, a disrupter.

According to the NY Times, Sen. Ernst's comment was in response to someone yelling from the audience "People are going to die" following some of the Senator's comments on Medicare/Medicaid. -- doesn't say who was that person.

https://www.foxnews.com/media/stephen-miller-calls-out-cnn-anchors-lazy-assumptions-about-trumps-executive-power Brown asked Miller whether he believes district judges should just "rubber stamp" whatever the Trump White House does, and if not, what checks and balances he thinks should be in place. "It’s not the job of a district court judge to perform an individual green light or red light on every single policy that the president takes as the head of the executive branch," Miller replied. "Just think about the premise baked into your question. Respectfully, Pam, you’re saying that when the American people elect a president of the United States of America…" -
Ruling of the CIT Court now under adminstration appeal: The Constitution assigns Congress the exclusive powers to “lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises,” and to “regulate Commerce with foreign Nations.” U.S. Const. art. I, § 8, cls. 1, 3. The question in the two cases before the court is whether the International Emergency Economic Powers Act of 1977 (“IEEPA”) delegates these powers to the President in the form of authority to impose unlimited tariffs on goods from nearly every country in the world. The court does not read IEEPA to confer such unbounded authority and sets aside the challenged tariffs imposed thereunder.

May 14, 20252:05 AM GMT+7Updated 16 days ago Jeffrey Schwab *, a senior counsel at the Liberty Justice Center, which represented the business plaintiffs, told the (CIT) court that Mr. Trump’s position essentially would allow him to “impose tariffs on any country at any rate at any time, simply by declaring a national emergency.” The nonprofit has past ties to Richard Uihlein, who is an Illinois industrialist and a Republican megadonor. https://www.reuters.com/world/us/us-court-weigh-small-business-bid-block-trump-tariffs-2025-05-13/ * NB Schwab argued and won a US Supreme Court case against mandatory union membership fees.

As mentioning the Pensacola, FL case: No -- a suit by a right wing conservative legal firm with connection to Leonard Leo who orchestrated the appointment and confirmation of Trump's 3 Supreme Court appointments first term. jerrymahoney Posted May 7 https://aseannow.com/topic/1359961-its-already-getting-ugly-in-china/page/2/#comment-19786440

Per the tariff dustup ... or per the Gershwin song: They Can't Take That Away From Me (1937) ______________ Trump Says Tariffs Are the Most 'Beautiful Words to Me' in the Dictionary January 21st, 2025, 7:11 AM GMT+0700 President Donald Trump talks about tariffs at the Inauguration Day parade being held in the Capital One Arena. “I always say tariffs are the most beautiful words to me in the dictionary,” Trump says, adding God, religion and love are actually the first three in that order and then it’s tariffs. You rang? White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, though, opened her briefing with a lengthy attack on the legal setbacks. She called it "judicial overreach" and called on the nation's highest court to step in. "These judges are threatening to undermine the credibility of the United States on the world stage," Leavitt said. "The administration has already filed an emergency motion for a stay pending appeal and an immediate administrative stay to strike down this egregious decision. But ultimately, the Supreme Court must put an end to this for the sake of our Constitution and our country." (my bold) <SKIP> Leavitt criticized the panel as "activist judges" despite its three members being appointed to the bench by three different presidents: Trump, Barack Obama and Ronald Reagan. https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/white-house-slams-judges-ruled-trump-tariffs/story?id=122320787

Trump administration considers allowing tariffs of up to 15% for 150 days, WSJ reports By Reuters May 30, 20258:23 AM GMT+7Updated 2 hours ago May 29 (Reuters) - President Donald Trump's administration is considering a stopgap effort to impose tariffs on large parts of the global economy under an existing law that includes language allowing for tariffs of up to 15% for 150 days, the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter. The administration has not made a final decision and it could wait to impose any plans after a federal appeals court on Thursday temporarily reinstated the most sweeping of Trump's tariffs following a trade court ruling to immediately block them, the report added. https://www.reuters.com/world/us/trump-administration-considers-allowing-tariffs-up-15-150-days-wsj-reports-2025-05-30/

The appeals court gave the plaintiffs — a group that includes state attorneys general and a handful of domestic businesses — one week to respond to the administration’s bid for a stay pending appeal. The U.S. will be able to reply to that response by June 9. “This is merely a procedural step as the court considers the government’s request for a longer stay pending appeal,” said Jeffrey Schwab, a lawyer for the business plaintiffs, in a statement. “We are confident the Federal Circuit will ultimately deny the government’s motion shortly thereafter, recognizing the irreparable harm these tariffs inflict on our clients,” Schwab said. https://www.cnbc.com/2025/05/29/blocked-trump-tariffs-trade-court-appeal.html

This is from the Florida ruling granting Team Trump's as Defendants case transfer to the CIT in NY: This is a civil action commenced against the United States and it “arises out of” a federal law—IEEPA—so the dispositive question framed by the parties’ filings is whether IEEPA “provid[es] for … tariffs.” Defendants contend that it does; Plaintiffs contend that it doesn’t. The Court agrees with Defendants for the reasons that follow. The CIT ruling today pretty much says the opposite. So maybe 'own goal' time for Team Trump?

Trump's team of government disrupters may be turning into a team self-disrupters. One of the cases joined in the court ruling today was originally filed in Federal Court Pensacola, FL. Team Trump filed to have it moved the NY CIT panel that ruled today. Based upon the order granted by the judge in FL -- a Trump first term appointee -- he might have been better off leaving the case in Florida.

Rule by executive order & proclamation and -- if you don't like it -- you can sue after it's already in effect. Then he can say all these court cases in front of activist judges are preventing me from doing the job I was elected to do -- ALL PROTECTED BY THESE USA HATING JUDGES WHO SUFFER FROM AN IDEOLOGY THAT IS SICK, AND VERY DANGEROUS FOR OUR COUNTRY. -- and per the above, Trump may try to get around the interim appointment rule by only having the appointee serve for 119 days.

The Left?? You don't seem to realize this and other cases come from the hardcore Right.
