I'm doing sandbox right now. If you have breakfast at hotel and do daily check at hotel, nobody will know where you sleep, unless they check app installed in your phone.

‘Phuket Sandbox’ welcomes 33,000+ arrivals during 1 July – 16 September
Espanol replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
No problem if first Thai airport is Phuket and you don't fly via any red labelled country. I mean you may not fly XXX-BKK-HKT. I flew Málaga-Doha-Phuket. No problem. -

I assume that they questioned tourists at the airport when arriving to Phuket. -

Since most sandbox users are residents returning home or meeting families after 2 years abroad, they rushed to go in July as soon as sandbox opened. -

If you have a look to updated Bangkok ASQ list, many hotels are no longer there. -

Domestic tourism don't bring foreign money to Thailand. Only foreign tourists do it. -
Ukrainian woman killed as ice delivery pickup wipes out
Espanol replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
Not joking. Those are three ways I know to stay in Thailand: - working (native language teacher, dive monitor,...) - retiring (plenty of retired in Thailand and in this forum) and - working online. Actually I'm working online right now. But also YouTubers, traders, sellers, writers, free lance journalists... -

Espanol replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Meanwhile all restaurants are serving alcohol with meals now, all bars are fully open in Bangla and serving beer and everyone in Phuket knows, including Phuket officials. -

117 respondents out of 33.000 "tourists"? They probably asked only one day to people coming in only one flight and that was all. -

Easy. You have 3 options: - retire - work online - get a job here About her, she had a job here. -
Well, I'm in Patong Beach right now. About 6 sunbeds hired in my row. Beach is lovely and few people here: no Chinese, Russian, British, Korean, Indian or Australian. Just some Americans and Europeans. Bangla Road has about 15 open bars, serving alcohol without restrictions. Yes: beer is served in coffee mugs, but who minds? Beautiful girls everywhere at cheap prices. Plenty of massage places. Difficult to find one without happy ending, but there are some. Many open restaurants and very good promotions (50%) in good restaurants using Eatigo. I was here last time in 2017 and promised that never again. Indeed much better now. It's a pity that this will not last much longer, but I'm really happy that I finally know Phuket like it was 40 years ago.

I'm in sandbox program, so free travel around the island and just checking in at hotel and temperature control once a day. Actually I post this from Patong Beach waiting for sunset.

Security personnel don't even bother to check QR code. I asked them and they said that they can not have access to every database in the world, since every country has its own and many don't even have QR code. I went through Security controls in Europe, Doha and Thailand and nobody checked QR code. They just have a look and, "if it looks like an official document" (they used those words), they wave you in. Same when checking in, boarding airplane, entering Thailand, crossing passport control,... nobody checked QR code.

Rawai sea gypsy village lockdown order finally issued
Espanol replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Is there still someone remaining at the village? They probably fled, been aware that lockdown was close. -
Patong bars defy national order to open as ’restaurants’
Espanol replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
What most bars did was setting a domestic barbecue next to the door and pretending that they are cooking skewers. -

Someone here, told me that it only costs about 500 bahts getting a food handling permit and that's all what they need. I don't know if that's true.
