  1. At Villa Market on Avenue, I bought Campbell's clam soup, but I didn't pay attention to the tomato or potato soup. They may have them too.
  2. OK. I found it: Shawarma Factory https://maps.app.goo.gl/VKovAAD8u54Tdzdz8 Thanks. I will give it a try.
  3. And, which place is that? Name of the restaurant?
  4. Far from the beach and songtaew. If you live there, you need a car or motorbike.
  5. Anywhere that sells authentic Panama hats in Pattaya or Bangkok?
  6. From this news and other similar ones, I get the impression that the Thais have finally realized that quality tourism, which really brings money, is the "farang", and not the hordes of Indians and Chinese who come all-inclusive, already paid at source to Chinese tour operators, and the vast majority of whom never visit a bar or a restaurant.

    VISA RUN

Can anyone recommend any reliable and affordable Pattaya agency for a visa run? TIA.
  8. I am retired, over 60 years old, and married to a Thai citizen. Therefore, I am eligible for both a retirement visa and a marriage visa. In my case, what would be preferable? A marriage visa or a retirement visa? Both for ease of obtaining it and for price. Thanks for your advice and comments
  9. I was at Sakda's yesterday. It's open. Great person and very good mechanic. I took the car to him to change the alternator, he looked at it right away, gave me a very reduced estimate and brought me home in his car. He agreed to bring my car home when it is finished.
  10. In the condominiums where I have lived so far, the security at the door does not let them through. They pick up the food and keep it until you come down to pick it up. Maybe that you could pay the guard to bring the food home himself, but I've never tried that.
  11. They are going to have many Vietnamese clients
  12. Yes
  13. Because in Asean Now there are no "thumbs down" emojis and the "sad and confused" icon is the closest thing there is.
  14. Seafood, steamed seabass with lime sauce, grilled chicken, salad, pasta, ...? Don't get me wrong: everyone can eat whatever they want. I'm just saying that just because some people didn't like the idea of eating a fried pork chop covered in gravy, doesn't mean they are cheap charlies who only look for 99 baht meals.
  15. Or maybe the price had nothing to do with it and the sad face is due to the unhealthy nature of the food you posted. Some people don't mind paying more for a healthy meal. In fact, it is easy to find tasty and healthy meals at a good price in Pattaya.
  16. Normally free or up to 2 euros in Spain ordering with Just Eat. 1.60 euros last week for the delivery of my order of 2 pizzas from "La Piazza".
  17. Wine Connection @ Royal Garden Plaza https://maps.app.goo.gl/CbVyrkLxyDDVttx5A
  18. Long term residents mainly. Minimun stay 1 month or longer.
  19. I go down almost daily to the gym, sauna and pool before going up to the apartment WFH. (European working hours start at 2:00 p.m. Thailand time). If I don't come down early, all sunbeds are already taken.
  20. Neither Grab nor Food Panda deliver at home and you have to go down the street to pick up the order.
  21. It affects retirees who are tax residents in Thailand so as not to pay income taxes in their country.
  22. Revolut and N26 cards don't charge fees/commissions for thai baht transactions. But they are only for European citizens.
  23. Yes, I completely understand that that is the reason the boat is more expensive. But I guess the fact that the boat is more expensive is what has made most people prefer to go by bus.
  24. Yes: even the snakes now flee from Buakhao 15 ???? https://youtu.be/Qr_HIm3r8B4
  25. I knew the last attempt. It was more comfortable, beautiful and faster than going on the bus, but the price was much higher. I guess that's what made it unsuccessful.
