  1. I have a special love and affinity for the Thai myna birds, of all varieties. A decade ago, I was wheelchair-bound for about five months, and completely alone. The Thai myna birds were my sole diversion. I love these birds. Smartest birds I have ever closely observed. I love them. Regards, Gamma
  2. This is what happens when one comes from the countryside, in China, where one is used to walking in the middle of the road. Sad, really. But, if you have ever been to China, in the countryside, then you will see many people, typically, walking in the middle of the road. Everyone knows this..... First and Last Day in Thailand turned out to be less than an auspicious day.
  3. Maybe this is the only kind of chocolate that Lustig would approve of.... Anyway, lips that touch sugar shall never touch mine....
  4. This YT person deserves a watch, maybe.... Nice vid.... (This guy's vid is actually very well done. I am impressed.)
  5. Most people in Thailand love the Thai Myna bird. I am one who loves this bird, almost above all others. What can I do to attract even more of this species to my lawn? a. Should I use recorded bird calls from an audio speaker? b. Should I set up a Thai Myna Bird...bird feeder? c. Or, what would be the best way to have the maximum number of Thai Myna birds strutting around my property, anyway? This is NOT a JOKE Post. The Thai Myna bird provides me with an enhanced sense of wellbeing. Need some good input here. Thank you. Gamma
  6. Likely. Perhaps, something to enjoy on a Sunday, while supping on a Sunday morning brunch, with a bit of champagne, even...
  7. Hitch loved my book. So did I. The film was quite amazing. Hitch never made a bad film.
  8. a. For sure, these pitiful young people are under the boot. This is absolutely true and absolutely VERY sad, these days. b. There will never be a cure for.... The Big C. c. There will never be a cure for halitosis, either.
  9. Well, if not God, then who gave us cancer? From whom all blessings flow. Praise God.... All powerful! God has the power to heal.... Right?
  10. Perhaps. But, I think not. The CPC holds the record for causing more harm to humanity than any other..... They truly are....the.... RED DEVILS! Note: These Red Devils have caused more harm to their own people than to any others, in fact. They deserve some sort of Nobel, for this....
  11. Note: I am saying, basically, that.... When all is added up, what is going on in China, as a result of the CPC, just might be worse for both the world, and for the Chinese people, than almost any other government on the face of this planet. All things considered, and considering the MAGNITUDE and the SCOPE of what the CPC, with its power is capable of, I do believe that the CPC represents the most dangerous group of people the world now faces.
  12. Thanks. Listening to this selection makes me feel less troubled.
  13. Ever since 1949, the CPC has proved its worth. These days, the CPC remains the last vestige of the most repressive government, besides, maybe, the Hermit Kingdom. Many of you might not know just how toxic the CPC actually is, unless you live behind the bamboo curtain. Every year, and every minute, in fact, the CPC is destroying the hopes of many millions of good people. I ps on the ChiComs, in my thoughts, and in my dreams. How can we finally, once and for all, rid the world of this scourge? Can we? Many people laugh at Gordon Chang. Yes, perhaps, some of the ideas from this guy from Cornell are a bit naïve. Yet, Gordon is definitely not mistaken that the CPC needs to be taken down IF repression and hardship are to be banished from the Middle Kingdom. There are just so many young people in China who are being severely damaged by the Commies....and... You would not believe it, unless you knew. FI on the CCP, I say. Such a dastardly regime. Is there nothing that can be done, by those outside of China, in order to TAKE DOWN the CCP? From 1949 to 2024..... Is this not long enough for us to find some way to put an end to this evil, and to.... Drive a stake through the heart of the Chinese Communist Party? Best regards, Gamma Note: Recently, I think, the Party has begun to destroy the hopes of the youth, in China, and this is completely unforgivable.....
  14. Some of us, not I, think that we can cure cancer. The US gov once thought it could cure cancer. But, the US Government, at that time, did not realize that.... Dinosaurs had cancer, too. So then, if dinosaurs had cancer, over 65 million years ago,, and if dinosaurs could not cure cancer, back then...then... Do you really think that we will be able to cure cancer, now? So then, how many of you believe that cancer is a "curable" affliction? Or, how many of you are scientists, is just one more way of phrasing this question..... Best regards, Gamma Note: Just like Smallpox, maybe it is God who gave us cancer. What do you think?
  15. You know... Before I moved away from the university.... I could have all my clothes washed and pressed, perfectly, by the shop near my house. Now, I can not. I miss those days. And, I do not sleep as well on bedsheets which are not perfectly pressed. I am sure that you might feel the same as I, in fact.
  16. Right! I prefer to have a maid. Also, while near the uni...there was a great service I used for keeping my clothes... SPIC and SPAN... And, every well pressed. Now, I am not there. Miss those great old times!
  17. My last comment is that...I think.... John Huston was a one of a kind. Love him or not, I think he made a few important films. Mankind, I would say, is better off that he lived his life in a way that contributed to our world. China Town! John Huston was in this one, too.... \ \ YOU GOT ME UNDER YOUR SPELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Also, one thing that impressed me most about this film, The Night of The Iguana... Was those two native boys, paying so much attention to Eva Gardner. In fact, this was a film quite risqué for its time, I believe. It spooked the heck out of me, at the time.... Pre-puberty, as I was, and an innocent at the time.
  19. Please note: I first watched .... The Night of The Iguana when I was about 11. At that tender age, this film scared me a bit. And, now that I am living in SE Asia.... Living here, too, scares me a bit, even though I am now much older.
