CORRECT.

This is NOT caused by excess humidity in the room, or outside the room, or outdoors. The REASON the evaporator will freeze up is either it needs cleaning, OR there is a coolant leak. Just in my VERY humble opinion, obviously. Note: There is also the chance that the thermostat might have been damaged, but I think this would be unlikely if the AC was functioning properly...in the past.

Air Conditioners - Bought the Wrong Model
GammaGlobulin replied to Banana7's topic in General Topics
I can guess why they might be dumping Panasonic machines here, locally, if they are. I have mentioned the reasons in previous posts. This is a shame, really. But, with ACs and other consumer appliances... SERVICE is the name of the game if you want to stay in the market. Next time I go to HomePro, the one near here, I will ask the store for the story. Quite interesting, in my view. -
Air Conditioners - Bought the Wrong Model
GammaGlobulin replied to Banana7's topic in General Topics
The Panasonic factory which supplies Panasonic ACs to the local market is in Malaysia. And, as you say, and I might agree, Panasonic AC servicing might be problematic. Also, recently, within the past year, or so, Panasonic seems to have begun manufacturing ACs for the Japanese market in JAPAN, and NOT in China. Panasonic ran into parts problems when manufacturing in China, so I have read. Panasonic in Taiwan and Japan supplies great ACs, however, from my experience. HOMEPRO still sells Panasonic ACs...for example... And, this is a deep discount, if you can buy it. Compressor warranty: TEN YEARS -
If one is planning to run a diner, then one must first move to NYC, where true Diners still exist, even though they are quickly becoming extinct, unfortunately.

Air Conditioners - Bought the Wrong Model
GammaGlobulin replied to Banana7's topic in General Topics
Yes. The BEST ACs for consumer purposes are made by Panasonic, at least in the recent past. My only concern would be after-sales service IF one is living in Thailand. IF in Thailand, then good after-sales communications and service with the local distributor "could be" very problematic. The compressors have a 10-year warranty, and are very quiet. However, due to quality control issues mentioned in some trade news I have seen, it is possible to be provided with a substandard condenser fan. If this happens, then it might be noisy, and in this case it might become difficult to communicate what is happening, and get the problem resolved. If I were buying in Japan, then for sure, PANASONIC. But, outside of Japan, then be careful, and this might also be true of other brands. In conclusion, I really like Panasonic Japan, but worry about different levels of quality being supplied to other markets, as the brands compete in a much more price-competitive market. I guess I will still buy Panasonic the next time, and I have 3 units operating now. However, if I find a problem with a new machine, then I believe this might become a headache that will require many months to resolve. Look first at the efficiency of any unit being considered, is key, since here in Thailand units run 24/7/365, or at least mine do. Also, I really like HITACHI's commitment to service here in Thailand. So, I really wish that Hitachi could be made responsible for handling any issues with Panasonic products. I might have purchased Hitachi ACs, but chose Panasonic for better efficiency at the same or lower cost. And, Hitachi service is something I really like. They always care about the consumer customers. -
This all depends upon how well one is fixed. Does it not? Also, it is paramount for one to understand how to living within one's income. Also, one must develop effective strategies for reducing waste, waste such as making expenditures for things that most would consider luxuries. These waste-luxuries include things like drinks for B-girls, and purchases of anything imported to Thailand. If one lives reasonably, and enjoys watching and interacting with birds, growing flowers, and sitting before one's computer screen using super-cheap and fast internet,... Then all will be well, and Thailand is a good place. Some are not fixed well enough, even for these non-luxuries. And in this case, Thailand might not be such a happy place to spend time.

TB, the spread of TB around the world, is deeply concerning, and has been a plague upon mankind for thousands of years. However, it is my conviction that the belief that drug therapy, and the status quo approach, is the right solution...is adversely distracting us from what really must be done to avoid the coming catastrophe..if we do not act in a much more concerted way to develop vaccines for TB and other epidemics.

I have no plans to visit the UK, in the future. Asia is not far better. Also, if I wished to visit such a hodgepodge-multicultural land, then I would truly consider myself CRAZY. I prefer more homogeneous societies, and always have. Homogeneous societies are far more stable and less contentious. This is why I live in a place with ZERO other people and outsider groups, such as Farang in this 99.99-percent locale of mine. This is the way I like it. If I want to see Indians, then I go to India. Africans? I go to Africa. Lions and Tigers? I go to either the word-class zoos, or several high-quality preserves, which are now under threat. The world is changing, and I do not like the changes; the changes are not positive in nature. The world as I once knew it, a very good world, has been destroyed. And we can see that we are experiencing the final days of humanity. This is my privilege for living so long, into this present decade. It's the same all over the world, wherever you go. Therefore, I do as as Savoy Brown sings: I just like back, and unwind..... It's really the only way, these days... Just LIE FLAT....

We must maintain contact with the enemy and consolidate our forces for a future engagement. We are fighting a losing battle without an effective vaccine. Therefore, we must invest heavily in arming ourselves with the vaccine, while using more effective strategies than are being used today, which do not work. We should also try to topple governments which are not much more democratic, because this is just one part of a more effective strategy. Prisons in Russia should be fumigated and staffed with intelligent health workers. There is much that can be done, and, unfortunately, here in this short comment, I have not the space to elucidate the totality of my thoughts about this Topic.

One year smoke-free; a few thoughts
GammaGlobulin replied to Samui Bodoh's topic in Stop Smoking Forum
Good strategy. Very reinforcing. -
As Chomsky always says (or said before his most recent stroke): You can read about it. All the information is available on the internet. Or, maybe listen to Gates and his foundation. He is pushing the vaccine route to reduce illness and improve health around the world. We need much more work and investment on vaccines. Problem is that once you have a vaccine, then long-term drug therapy is no-longer needed. Vaccines can be subsidized by the government, and then people are far less likely to become cash cows for Phara Companies, once vaccinated. Trying to treat long-term illness like TB through drug therapy is a losing battle which wastes resources, year after year.

Good and Motivating Topic. Used to be able to fast walk 24 kilometers a couple times a week.... Before the pandemic. Now, need to re-start. But how? Overcoming inertia is difficult upon restart. Still, I think, if the smoke pollution increases significantly, then this might be enough to get me out walking again...and... I hope so. I have several boxes of premium respirators. And, if the smoke begins in earnest, then I will don a mask and begin walking again, maybe starting at 5 kilometers, initially. Unfortunately, it seems that the smoky season is late this year. But, during the past two days things have been starting to really pick up around here with readings of about 185, or so. When it gets to PM2.5 readings of around 200 or more...then... THIS is the thing that will motivate me the MOST. I will look out and see the smoke, and then put on my 3M respirators, and walk for hours. The blacker the outside of my masks become, then the more I like it. It's sort of like putting on snow-chains on tires before heading out in a blizzard... Extremely challenging, exciting, and very motivating. Then, after the smoke clears in July, I will be back to my old walking regimen, and I will try to never again fall off the wagon... Great Topic, by the way....

Treating TB is a FOOLS ERRAND. I just hope you do not think this is a good strategy. Also, whatever Trump does, despite what you might like to believe, will... NOT affect the outcome much, if at all. What is needed is a vaccine for TB. TB drugs are gradually and surely losing their efficacy. Stay informed on this topic, is my advice. And then, donate your money to the most promising VACCINE RESEARCH Projects you can find. And, no need to thank me for this VERY SOUND ADVICE....

I say... Tough Luck for the Europeans, these days. They already made their decisions, years ago. And, they have now chosen to be overrun with migrants from North Africa, Continental Africa, China, India, and other countries whose cultures and allegiance are unaligned with what once was Western Europe, plus the UK. They already cast their votes to be overrun. Now is the time for them to reap the rewards of their foolhardiness. Thankfully, America and Canada still stand united ! We will soon have a land mass that includes the USA, Canada, and Greenland...under one Government of Trump. If Greenland refuses to submit, or Denmark does not listen, then we will just ask Elon to buy up Greenland, parcel by parcel, and donate everything to.... The American People. Things are achanging, now. There is a NEW Sheriff in Town....folks....!!!!!

Now you know why I have, during my many years in Thailand, not set one toe in the water at one of Thailand's beaches. And, I also don't want to be assaulted by one of those hot young women wearing virtually NOTHING on local beaches. Who knows, I might be overpowered if I were to be assaulted by about ten of them, all at once.
