The difficulty of avoiding sugar in Thailand.
KhunLA replied to Felton Jarvis's topic in Eastern Thailand
Heavy on the carbs myself, leaner meats, better oils. Non deserts; breads, pasta, potatoes, and not even going to try to live without. As stated, save my sugar intake for deserts. -
Yea, that's a lot of money for the bZAX when the first press release I saw was recall for the wheels possibly falling off. Feel sorry for Suzuki, as same issue for the Suzuki badged Toyota is producing for them. Must have been more than a few experiencing the wheels saying BYE BYE, as the recall came quick. Luckily for Toyota (not the owners) and caught before the Suzukis sold. Ouch ... source

Apparently all of them, as long as 'their' wealth isn't being redistributed. They agree and will provide it all for you, or say so at election time. ... fee education (via taxes), alphabet folks explained and encouraged to be. ... free healthcare (via taxes) ... Q up and they might get to you before you die ... free housing (almost-via taxes) ... though maybe not safe to live there ... free food (via taxes) ... for a bare existence ... All available, (referenced to USA), or, if you want more than an existence, feel free to earn it and enjoy it. Though not a fan of giving a share to those that don't want to contribute. I'll share with those that can't contribute (direct or via taxes). But the rest of y'all ... F O , it's mine, I earned it. WANT MORE, DO MORE

Are you thinking of buying a BYD EV?
KhunLA replied to DUNROAMIN's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
My post wasn't to you, and I wasn't referencing 2020 or 2021 prices, or even first, most of 10 months, of 2022, since we got our EV 30 Oct 2022. Nothing misleading, just your lack of reading comprehension. Or simply an attempt to interject a false narrative. Keep repeating it isn't going to help, as your posts are irrelevant, to our purchase or anyone's future purchase. -

Staggering how irrelevant your reply is to my reply. -

And we didn't buy our EV until later in 2022. My reply, again, is in reference to our ownership of our EV, and present & future savings, along with the person I replied to, future savings at today's price. It really seems reading comprehension is not a forte' of AN membership. -
And yet, I had an excellent Panaeng Moo & Somtam Thai, (80 & 60 baht) this evening, walking distance from hotel, with 6 others restaurants within 100 meters of that one. Tasty & a bargain. We did come through during covid, and it was a ghost town, as were most int'l tourist areas. Haven't popped down to the surf, although I've been in the Andaman in late Sept/Oct, and April/early May without issues. May is a bit rough though. We were here, Phuket, past June, and only the surfers were out.

I don't control their transport decisions. If up to me, the countries, where possible, would be, or turning all solar, the last 30 ish years. Diesel would have been banned a long time ago. I can only control my little world. Hypocrisy - the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform. -

You better keep that memory, since when it comes to production cars people can actually buy, EVs will beat ICEVs everyday when it comes to performance. -

My calculation was for when I own our EV, (35 ish & up) and for Celcius's future expense (who I replied to), but feel free to spin it anyway you think it will fit for your spin. Don't forget the 44.88 or so it hit last year. source -

I guess you're not concerned about performance, just noise ... ???? -

I guess my Vios & Mazda 2 were gas hogs also, because they got the same, sometimes. And don't mention diesel, as I wouldn't buy anything the spews that disgusting, health hazardous exhaust. Shameful it's still legal to use. -

Staggering #s, but the #s don't lie. Now someone tell me again, how much more expensive EVs are ???? 14 kms per L/91 @ ฿40.5 baht today. 20k ÷ 14 kms = L X ฿40.5 = ฿57,857.14 X 8 yrs = ฿462,857 -
EV Owners … Real life experience & help thread
KhunLA replied to KhunLA's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Paying a bit more attention, too much actually, but noticed once over 85%, then it's about 1% added, every minute, then at 90%, that time increases, till about 95%. Then it's 2 minutes per %, till 98%, then it way too long, as the MG ZS stated, another 20 minutes till topped & cells balanced. Needless to say, we didn't wait. -
The difficulty of avoiding sugar in Thailand.
KhunLA replied to Felton Jarvis's topic in Eastern Thailand
Just saw this vid, Dr Berg & sugar (keto advert in bad disguise), but, @1:20, states most folks in USA, eat 26 tsp of sugar a day ???? I now put 1 tsp in my coffee, and pretty much the only table/white sugar I use all day. Get some sugar in my blueberries & raisins, with my morning cereal. The corn flakes have about 1% of sugar, since 98.6 is supposed to be corn. Unless having pastry or ice cream during the day, I think that's about it for table/white or processed sugar. -

@Celsius If you put 20k kms on a year, we calculated we'll probably save over 460k baht, just on petrol cost, with our EV. That's an accurate cost of MG ZS ICE version (we owned), vs our EV version, we own now. Doesn't even include the oil changes (10k) & tune ups. -
Just one large advert, as all reachable from Phuket. I wouldn't make a special trip, or even if in the neighborhood, for any of them. We just drove by the turn to Phuket today, went to Khao Lak instead.
-
You'd have to be an idiot, to run out of petrol or battery today. MG ZS EV gives an audio warning @ 30% & 20%, along with ding & idiot warning light. Don't know about 10%, as have only gone down to 12%. You should still have at least 65 kms to go @ 20%

Haven't had COVID jabs or flu shots and can't remember when I was sick last time.

That's a bit of a price difference; Neta V 549k MG4 769k now, but without few perks since price drop. One would hope for better specs for 220k more. Both very nice.

that 'or' should be 'of' 'TH still has about 35% or primary forest'
