Did you look at the photo or read the news-blip, as the seas look quite flat to me, and doesn't seem to be an issue, or mentioned at all in the news-blip.

Again, just use common sense, and be aware of your surrounding. Use your damn mirror when stationary, and place something, other vehicles in between you and approaching traffic. Along with don't block yourself in, and always try to have an escape route. Probably why TH has the 'green' section at intersections reserved for scooters. Although I prefer not even to be there, if can be avoided, in case someone has an oops and crosses over. Although, if in front, and see something coming, may be able to get out of the way. There's 2 ways for me to go to the park & surf every day. I take the long way, 1 km more & slower, as I don't want to sit at intersection for a long time, and no fast traffic should be coming up behind me vs sitting on hwy # 4, which would be shorter & faster, but at a major intersection, with traffic buzzing by, both directions at 90+ kph, and sh!t does happen at times. I even go that way when driving the car, and simply common sense, and defensive driving to me. If you're not looking in your rear view quite often while driving, especially when stationary, then you're not using common sense or driving defensively. I want to know what's around me all the time, JIC. Kept me alive and fairly accident free this long.

Been riding almost daily for 40+ years, and more than half of those here in TH. Defensive driving and a bit of common sense will keep you alive, or at least increase your chances. On that, common sense. There is a reason we aren't suppose to jaywalk. Cross at corners or crosswalks, where it is safer. And not simply hold our hand up for traffic to stop, as not everyone is paying attention, obviously. Maybe she had superpowers, and they were on the blink. R I P ... hopefully 90 years was enough, as she looked in good health, had most of her wits about here, looking both ways before attempting to cross. Just picked the wrong spot at the wrong time. On a happier note ...

Single digits in a week, that's not even news worthy. They're old, past their expiration date ... that's nature. Covid, flu, pneumonia ... old age, Death & taxes get us all in the end. TH 'all' deaths from/with covid ... 494 per million people. Not even 0.05% Get a Life, move on.

Not sure I'd say it's any worse than previous years. It has seemed to shifted a bit, I think arriving later and staying till later in the year. This year and last, as prior, seemed to rain at end of April and definitely by now, first week of May. Always HOT ... DAMN HOT, till the rains arrive 😎 No prob, AC house to AC car, to AC shopping, restaurant or coffee shop. 35-40-45C, and we wouldn't change much for either temp. Still get out and walk the dog, in the shade and just after sunset. Last year the rains didn't show up down here / PKK till after the 20th of May. As I remember talking to and telling my brother not to come this time of years. He & wife finish & fly out of Nam tomorrow, and were going to be in Bangkok tomorrow. For 3 days, then Chiang Mai 😲😲😲 So it would be crap pollution, or, if rains show up as forecast on the 9th, maybe rained out Talk about rolling the dice with no chance of winning. Cancelled that, thankfully, and rescheduled for Nov this year. Should be real nice, and pollution hopefully hasn't started yet

I have, and actually one of, if not my favorite restaurant in Udon Thani, and TH. Unfortunately closed up long ago. Had an excellent 'free' free-flow wine night, which had 'low key' quality band/singers, and nothing intrusive, and actually very welcome as background music, or watching them. Excellent food to top it off 👍👍 That said, not a fan of any music when dining, unless very low volume, and hopefully, instrumental, soft jazz preferred.

Doubtful if the fault of the EV. Think that one falls under 'User Error'. Kudos to safety feature, as all walked away. Maybe if an ICEV and the petrol tank spit & ignited, they wouldn't have been so lucky, since upside down.
